Drove through the dealership yesterday and saw a Ranger in CG. Saw your post and had to see what state you were in. They just got the Ranger here this past week. Looks alot different in person.

Just curious, did you like it before you saw it in person?

So is there a hint of green to it?

Not the OP but when I saw it in person there was a slight green hue to it when in direct sunlight but as the cloud passed by it I saw more straight flat gray. It was a nice color but not as much green as I thought.

Yes it's a light flat gray with a very slight green tint to it. I've heard in some lights it can have a bluish tint as well.

I honesty didn't have an opinion on it. After seeing it I would have no problem buying a CG Bronco. It looks like a light version of my current Sting Gray Grand Cherokee. Which is a flat gray that can have a slight green or blue hue depending on the light.

I was going to get a Velocity Blue Bronco, but once I saw Area 51 and Cactus Gray in person I said nope... Wife picked Cactus gray as I was torn between Area 51 and CG.

Both colors were on a Bronco Sport at work and then when I was converting my reservation they had a Ranger with CG. Love the color.

Those are our top two colors as well. I’m doing a 4dr wildtrak in cactus gray and my wife is getting a 2dr big bend in Area 51 for her winter car. Hers won’t be until later 2022 as we put that reservation in late to replace her current winter vehicle we lease

Yup me too! Great pictures. I was not 100% as I drove to my dealer to order until I saw the CG Sport parked there. Quickly made up my mind.

My dealer just received a batch of Rangers and two had Cactus Gray. Of your pictures the second one (the side shot) seems to depict the color most accurately, at least on my computer screen.

A few pictures from the dealer of some new Rangers in Cactus Gray. The pictures were taken around sundown so not great (my apologies). I took a few next to the Ranger in Carbonized Gray for comparison. While Carbonized Gray is not a bad color it is just so common on almost every vehicle line out there. I have a F250 in a very similar color and my wifes Q5 is nearly the same. No complaints, its just a very common looking dark metallic gray in my opinion. If we didn't have two in very similar colors it might have been an option.

As far as the Cactus Gray goes I'd say that the comments about a bluish or green cast to it are overblown. It really does depend on the lighting, time of day, and what it is next to. I'd definitely say that depending on the angle there is just a very very slight hint of "Cactus" to the color which makes it interesting. Just a note of sage or green you can see at the proper angle to the light. Not much and under bright light it is pretty much straight flat light gray. Very subtle but can be seen at certain angles. Anyhow, on to the pics..

All about lighting. Love how these colors can look totally different in certain lighting conditions.
