Bumper/Winch options for 2025 Heritage/Sasquatch

I recently purchased a 2025 Bronco heritage edition with the Sasquatch package. I am really enjoying this vehicle as it seems to combine a perfect blend of comfort and rugged durability.
In my young and single days, I had two Jeep Wranglers which I enjoyed pushing to their limits all over the world on various Military assignments. While I enjoyed my jeeps, I am no longer young or single and my aging, arthritic bones appreciate a little more in the way of comfort. And I just couldn’t find myself buying an automatic Jeep anyway. (Something about it just seems sacrilegious.). As I don’t have a similar history with the bronco, It’s much easier to except giving up my clutch with it.
I was hoping the community could help give me some ideas about how best to add a winch to the front of the 2025 heritage edition bronco with Sasquatch package.(pictured above) I have had several people suggest replacing the bumper with something bigger and more aggressive that will accommodate the winch in an upfront position and still allow airflow into the front end. I would prefer to try and maintain as much as possible, the classic profile and.lines of the heritage edition bronco. My fallback plan is to get a hitch mounted winch that I can run under the vehicle if need be. But there has got to be a better solution? I appreciate any suggestions.

@RagnarKon installed the Ford Performance Warn Kit on a capable bumper. The kit is made for the modular bumper but he was able to adapt it to the capable.. Check his install video out..

You can get the Ford Performance Kit right now for a killer deal through Ford Accessories..

https://www.ford.com/product/ford-performance-parts-by-warn-bronco-winch-kit-p2760593812

Here is a removable option, looks interesting. I can tell you that Ford winch set up sticks way out there and gets hung up on rocks. Just in case you are wondering. https://www.maximus-3.com/category/...oNygeJB3-8z6bZm2kI_aem_WBdzmI2Bl1yDOY6h7ro7Sg

I thought about mentioning that one also but not sure if it will fit on the capable bumper or not.

Yeah I looked it up and they have an option for the Capable Bumper. just need to replace the tow points with the modular style tow points. That is where I am not sure if they offer those or you have to source your own.

This option is a bit expensive... mostly for two reasons, first you have to install a high mount intercooler (which has benefits of it's own) and because you are limited to a couple of much more expensive short drum competition winches, but I really like it and it keeps the original capable bumper, approach angles, and it really is a clean strong set up...

Hammer built mount, with Mishimoto high mount intercooler and a Mile Marker comp series short drum.

Hey, this may be exactly the solution I’m looking for. I need to look into a few details before I know for sure, but I will let you know. Unfortunately, I’ve already used my 15% discount. But it’s still a good price. Thanks for responding to my request. Hope to see you out there on the trails someday. EK

I’m not sure how I feel about a removable winch honestly. I was only considering one for my hitch when I couldn’t think of any other options. But I’ll give it a look. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you on the trails.

Rough Country and Superwinch make undermount options for the Bronco. Since they are undermount they replace the factory skid plate and they do not affect the aesthetic of the heritage model, in particular the Superwinch variant which is much more discrete and does not have aggressive appearance of the Rough Country version.

I still consider this the original winch mount that keeps the capable bumper along with the adaptive cruise and camera, while not requiring an intercooler move. I still want to do this for mine.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

I just looked on Hammer's website, and it appears they are currently sold out. I can see why, it seems like a great option if you can afford it since it addresses the approach angle issues.

I like it because I keep my stock skid plate and my stock capable bumper and the Winch is still hidden away. It is actually really easy to use. The free spool lever is easily accessible through the passenger wheel well because the winch is mounted inverted. And the mile marker winch has both the wired remote with the accessible plug in the front but also a "in and out" toggle I mounted in the cab on my dash.... I do not have to worry about bluetooth connections and having my phone with me... Off roading is my time to get away from that damn phone.

Interesting options here!
I am also looking at winch options and have the capable bumper on my Badlands. ButI dinged it up pretty good on a trail last year, so I am considering looking for a modular bumper as a takeoff just to make it easier to mount the Ford performance winch, or something similar.

Not wanting to be a thread-hijacker, but does anyone here flat-tow the bronco with a winch in place? We do not currently but it is in my plans for a year or two down the road. And I don’t want to invest in something that has to be re-engineered if/when we add the RV. I was considering the removable option for this reason.
Or am I overthinking it since the tow bars seem to pin to their recovery points that align with the frame rails? Maybe the winch is not in the way…
