I have only had my Bronco for a few months, but I have never seen so many bugs collect on the windshield of any vehicle in over 43 years of driving as the Bronco. Has anyone else noticed this?
Still love it!!

Yes, you are exactly right. It's amazing how bad it is driving at night in the summer. I finally broke down and bought the Ford hood deflector. It made a world of difference.

Same here but I haven't installed it yet. Bought one for the wife's Bronco too and she says it really helps.

The Aeroskin does make a difference, but won't stop them on a warm August night on a Kansas interstate!
It's simple to install, but do follow directions carefully, especially cleaning the hood and positioning the adhensive strips. My suggestion is to get a washable marker and outline just how you're going to position it, then use four hands to place it in position. This is a one-shot install.

What's the last thing that goes through a bug's mind when it hits your windshield?
Its butt!

It is not so much bug suicide as it is the Bronco is a bug murderer, we even claimed at least one bird. But to be fair the birds in the Amarillo area have a death wish. we were even driving way slower than the posted limit and still got one.

Would the hood deflector prevent/deter road rocks that cracked my windshield yesterday ?

I have both; a deflector and a cracked windshield. So no is my answer.

So my take is that the Bronco is just being faithful to its provenance, right? 🤔

If someone's flew off it was because it was not installed correctly. Mine is rock solid after almost 2 years.

I was running a couple weeks ago across Nebraska in a brutal side wind and the deflector (F150, 3m taped on) DID in fact come off (halfway, then pulled and stowed for remainder of the trip…). The difference is the deflector on the F150 has a couple of spots that allow water to flow off the hood along the hood lines, and the wind at 80mph started to to work the deflector until it finally released…

I have experienced NO SUCH problem with my Bronco deflector…. As @Deano Bronc said, the Bronco’s is rock solid.
