I had a BLAST at the 2023 Greenwood Car Show in Seattle today. I enjoyed fielding questions from curious passersby, as well as all of the folks taking photos of my Bronco on display. A couple of times, fathers asked if their kids could sit behind the wheel, and I was happy to oblige. I think people are genuinely curious about the new Bronco, but don't always have the opportunity to speak with an owner or to see one up close without pressure from a salesperson. It was a pleasure being a conduit for potential Bronco buyers. I wasn't the only 6th-generation Bronco at the show; a new Black Diamond appeared down the road a bit, in addition to a few vintage Broncos.

Every year, the Knights of Columbus has a miles-long stretch of Greenwood Avenue cordoned off for this rain-or-shine event. Luckily, the weather was ideal! I took lots of photos. Here are a few...

Meanwhile, my cat "stood guard" over my doors at home, on my living room floor. 😊
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Pretty cool Broncos! TY for sharing the pictures of your "naked Bronco". Have you ever heard the old Honda advertising slogan?
"You meet the nicest people in a Honda". It worked wonders for them back in the 60s ( ahem, ahem, before my time BTW). We should adopt something along them lines.
I often find my self like you, talking to people who ask about the Bronco.
It usually starts with, how do you like your Bronco? And that's my queue for a 30 minute impromptu Q&A.

I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I didn't have the opportunity to speak with the other Bronco owners today (they were probably doing what I was doing, wandering around the show, taking in the sights, etc.). However, I occasionally get to chat with other Bronco owners at local Cars & Coffee, and they are always enthusiastic.

Attending shows is one thing, getting some seat time on a trail is another. I'm easing myself into it. I've got a friend who is a seasoned off-roader and he's been very supportive and encouraging. I'm gaining confidence and getting more familiar with the Bronco every day. I suspect I'll be enjoying this vehicle for years to come!

Yes, car shows are awesome and also part of being a car enthusiast. I enjoy them just as much as trail days. You are doing the right thing by easing into off roading. Getting to know your rig's capabilities and being comfortable with it off road, is the key. I'm sure you will be posting off roading adventures in no time..

I like Eruption Green, but the Broncos in their vintage hues or colors respective to their era are always appealing! I did speak with the wife of the owner of the green Bronco and she's very happy with the shade and would not have chosen otherwise.

I hope so! And I appreciate your understanding. My Bronco is still pretty much a pavement princess. I know I probably over-bought by selecting the Badlands Sasquatch combo, but it ticked all the right boxes in other departments, so it seemed to be the best fit for my immediate and long-term goals. Attending the Bronco Off-Roadeo in Moab really cinched it for me. I had SO much fun. Now I just need to start building my foundation of experience by getting some practice where the pavement ends!

Thanks for sharing, Chris. Looks like a fun event! How do you remove your rear hardtop- with a family member/friend or do you use a lift?

Your Badlands is badass enough. And also that is the way you should buy Broncos long term plans. Talking about pavement princess here is one. Take a look at this one... spotted at a car show today.

Nothing but respect for the attention to detail and craftsmanship it takes to build such a beautiful machine. 🐎

I don’t have a lift, so I’m reliant on the kindness and availability of a friend to remove the top. Everything else can be done by myself, but it’s always better to have a second set of eyes to assist. 😉

Thanks! Yeah, I'm going au naturel for as long as possible. I am a HUGE fan of driving with only the barest essentials. It feels amazing. It's a wind tunnel, I won't lie, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm definitely late to the convertible party, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. And not having doors is nothing short of exhilarating. In another life, I would be a strong proponent of riding motorcycles. Clearly the culmination of being one with the road. For now, this is as close as I can get. And the beautiful thing is, ANY Bronco owner can do this!

That Area 51 Wildtrak totally photobombed that vintage Bronc. 😂 Both are awesome in their own right.
