My Bronco Sport Badland‘s headlights on low beam looks like a dark curtain halfway down while driving.

I just picked up a used 21 Sport Badlands, and I was not impressed by the low beams. I ride motorcycles and have done a whole lot of adjusting those headlamps, so I took some time with my sport trying to get some useable low beam light. The manual explains the adjustment to raise the lights and I marked the starting point on the part you turn and the part that it turns with a marker. See page 282 of owner's manual, and make a witness mark on both parts that turn. I have misplaced my notes but I believe I went up 3/8 of a turn, up is counter-clockwise, and checked them, and they were better but not great. Then I went up 1/4 more and I do remember that at this amount of turning the part that the adjuster turns had completed one revolution so use that as a base.

Now I have a route I take when I do my bikes and the low beams are now right where I want them on my BS (yes BS for short), and the high beams are a little high but the low and high are on at the same time so long range light is nice and filled in, and low beam is very useable. Now, before anyone questions what I did I can tell you my low beams were Dangerous even a 55 mph let alone 84 mph that I drive on SD Interstates. The range of the low and width are much much safer now, and the high beams are nice. I have set areas that I stop at and check how the low beams show up and they are spot on (I would like a hair higher but I am staying at this height as it works good). I also have put a lot of local area miles on and I have not been Flashed once. When I pull up behind a stopped car I can tell my low beams seem to be a little high but no damage done to other drivers. I also compared the sitting at set distances with my bikes and one of my other autos and they are darn close to the same height. at about 100 feet my BS low beams are just a hair higher then an auto I have used since new for 5 years, and its low and high beams are just right. The BS High Beams are also just a hair higher. Now No One Flashes Me so I am happy, safer, and I can actually see what is on the road now.

I am guessing Ford really blew the adjustment at the factory and my low beams would not reach a city block so highway use was Dangerous. Would a dealership adjust them the same way I have mine, I don't care as I have tested mine and they are great now. Good Luck.

I just sent you a detailed reply, but I am not sure you will get a heads-up, so I will try this way. Good Luck.
