The soft top on my Bronco Badlands has started constantly squeaking while driving with the top down, and sometimes even with the top up. The squeak seems to be coming from just above rear driver door...so approximately where the first hinge is to fold it back. I'm sure that area is the culprit and I suspect that it just needs some lubrication. But I cannot figure out which part is squeaking. And I was wondering if there is a preferred type of lubricant? Spray silicone, WD40, etc?
I've also noticed that when I have the top all the way back and hit a bump, that same side of the soft top clunks. I think I'm going to bring up both issues whenever they get my replacement shock back in stock. I've just had every type of issue you can get with the soft top.
- The small plastic clips on the rear corner piece snapped off and separated the cloth from the plastic. Ford just completely replaced that panel for me.
- The left side panel had a plastic piece sticking down that damaged the top of the left rear quarter panel. They are going to fix the plastic piece and then touch up the body damage.
- The cloth is sagging between each set of bars. If anyone has any fix suggestions for this, it would be much appreciated.
