There is still an appeal but it was a unanimous rejection by the county.

This is sad news. While the runs and trash cleanups we participated in were capped, well-led, and respectful, there was still a massive amount of vehicles at the event, which makes it easy for more issues to spring up. I hope the appeal goes through.

Oh no! I really want to attend this. I actually looked at some lodging options last week and thought about going ahead and booking. Glad I waited.

I will likely still be there that week regardless of the final outcome, as are some other Bronco owners that are already locked in. Individuals are still free to wheel of course.

I think the Safari grew too big too fast and everyone is going to have to step back and find a better way to run it.

Dang I really wanted to go to that one.
Really sad to hear that the Bronco community has a Black eye in the MOAB community, even if it is for a short time. It only takes a few to ruin a good thing for the rest of us. Still Planning to do Moab in June on the Way to Vegas for my sons 21 birthday.

My wife and I went to Moab for the Bronco Offroadeo in May and fell in love with the place. We plan on going back around Mayish 24 and would probably much prefer to do a smaller groups. I primarily want to stay on blues/4,5 rated trails although I have done a couple of blacks at Merus Park in and around Palo Duro Canyon south of Amarillo, TX. The blacks were fun but I really want to keep my rig in one piece. If Bronco Safari does fall through, I would love for a group of Bronco Nationers get together and make a plan. Even if just a couple or three days of running. We would need a good trail boss.

I believe I viewed a video of like 30+ trails BLM closed or going to close. Not sure if it's this area or not. But it was a very long list. (Or maybe it was just IG propaganda) who knows 🤷‍♂️

I think it is true, unfortunately. Price BLM is motor vehicle user adverse.

Darn, was planning on going. I still want to go the end of April.
It would be nice to do some trails with other BN members.
I have the Charles Wells book and am experienced at getting small groups somewhat lost out there. Lol

Was there an official list of complaints they cited? I’d like to read the response to them.

There weren't a lot of specifics but this is from the OP's article. It sounds like the Bronco Safari group was not denying these issues happened but more on how they were going to prevent them in the future.

A bunch of guys I know were planning on going anyway and having our own Safari. Now we need to decide if we should respect UBC's wishes, go to the new location, or what.

Hopefully the next Federal administration will not be so beholding to the extreme elements of environmentalism which want to "re-wild" as much of the continent which they can (over)-regulate.

Was this a decision made at the Federal level in any way?
