Ford Authority reported that Ford filed a patent for the process of putting chairs on the roof once the panels are removed.
I guess I'm a little confused why you would want something like this but I suppose it will have its uses. I could see using it at some sporting events possibly. @Bronco V-8 parking it in the middle of a stream and fishing from it. :unsure:
I think it wouldn't be too long before there would be a Tik Tok video of some kid sitting on it while driving down the highway. :LOL:

Ford Authority stated "could possibly also include a variety of other accessories including a heating function, lighting, speakers, and device chargers. Additionally, the roof chair system could also be integrated with the vehicle’s charging and lighting systems or have its own rechargeable battery included."

What would you use it for?

If they moved the steering wheel up there and added a hand throttle/brake you would have a flying bridge to operate from.

I can remember one or 2 times sitting on the roll bars of our CJ. One at a mud bog competition and once at a Jamboree. Never enough that I would need to have a chair up there. That would be soooo Beverly Hillbillies. And, no disrespect, I'm very much a hillbilly, borderline redneck (I don't think I have ever done anything where I needed someone to hold my beer).
