There are friends, then there are the FRIENDS who get you. My friend Eric is one of them. He gave me a sign to post in my parking garage. It leaves no doubt as to what belongs in the space. It clearly states "FORD BRONCO PARKING ONLY... All Others Will Be Towed And Crushed."

We epoxied that sucker to the wall, so it's there for good. Some people get you. Eric is one. He knew I'd love the sign and he was right. Now all I need is for my Bronco to come home! Motion sensor lighting will be installed next. All with Management's blessing... Life is good!

Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. Itโ€™s fun.

I hope that's not intended for me! I'm no saint, but I'm not that bad. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Actually, it's quite generous as the area outside of the line is for environmental equipment access, so I should be good.

Meanwhile, I've added a motion-sensor light to the area. I may add a second. Going to wait and see if I need it. Definitely an improvement over the original, dimly-lit space!

I totally respect these folks. My property management team rocks. In fact, I gave them a generous cash gift for the holidays. They've been very accommodating. Not only did they secure the best (widest) spot in the garage for me, they did so without me having a car to park in it, and no firm ETA as to when it would arrive. I got the security pass, electronic gate gizmo, and everything, and didn't even have to pay rent on the space until it gets here!

I asked if they could add lighting, but they said it could get complicated because of the age of the building and the potentially costly involvement of outside vendors. Before they went any further, I asked if I could add my own lighting and they said it would be fine. So I purchased a battery-operated motion sensor light that shed lots of light onto the space. This modest investment should give me peace of mind.

The beast that parked there before left stains on the floor. I was tempted to scrub it clean. There was a practical side to my cleanliness. I wanted a clean slate so I would be able to spot problematic leaks coming from my Bronco. I'm still not sure I won't mop the floor myself! LOL

That is awesome!! You sure are lucky!! Those parking garages are not meant to give you much space!

I would do the same! Good to have a clean slate, then you know it was coming from you!

Canโ€™t wait to see photos of your baby when you get it!

Depending on how secure your building's garage is, consider a camera with that motion detector.
Sure, give the cement a good scrub. But cardboard under your rig will give you the evidence you don't want to see.
Is your Badlands a hardtop? It wouldn't be too complicated to devise a hoist for your rear-most HT section. Just pull off the front panels, hoist the rear--and go!
You're going to love your trim package. That's what I've got--in Carbonized Gray, 4DR. I pulled alongside a lady yesterday in a Carbonized Gray BB. Both our windows were down. "Carbonized Gray is very becoming to you!" I called out. Then we got our green and moved on.

@BostonBadlands There are security cameras all over my garage; I was more interested in the extra lighting for safety and convenience. For example, when I'm loading up the Bronco before heading out or when coming home with groceries.

I did briefly look into motion-sensor security cameras, but the better ones are hard-wired and dependent on a WiFi signal to deliver real-time monitoring on cell phone apps. I think I should be okay, but knock on wood.

You made a good point about using cardboard to see if you're leaking anything. It's cheap and effortless!

AREA 98 looks great, plenty of room for Bucking and adding Mods. I have to warn you though about the Waiters Remorse you experience when you get your Bucking Bronco. The mornings when you wake up and wonder how much longer, then you try to figure out what you will add first. After your coffee you check the tracking web site for the first of 5 times before noon. Slowly you get over missing the waiting then the guilt settles in for all those other guys waiting, waiting....

Post Script: I'm not trying to be mean guys. I did kind of miss the waiting, now I'm waiting for the fog lites I ordered that are on backorder.

Good point, though @DSTAR777! Half of the "fun" of waiting is the mounting anticipation. Like Christmas Eve for a little kid. And that's how I feel at the moment! I think I'm just trying to get things in order for the homecoming. LOL

It's going to be an interesting transition over the next few days. The gap between me and my Bronco is getting smaller by the minute. I just checked in again and I'm getting close to Montana. Granted, it's a big state, but it's technically just two states away from me. ;)

My idea for the metaphor is a guy who's had lots of girlfriends before, but is now engaged ๐Ÿ’ to a beautiful virgin, and the wedding day ๐Ÿ‘ฐ is getting closer, closer...by the month, the week, the day...the hour. If that's the case, maybe the first trail ride is the wedding night? ๐Ÿ’–

What can I say? I'm a writer! My story starts in 1964, and my protagonist drives a 1956 Ford Victoria, so bad a heap he carries a full toolkit and a bucket of miscellaneous nuts, bolts, and baling wire. His situation's improved by 1970, and he's driving a spanking new Bronco G1 with the 5L V-8, custom painted to match his girlfriend's turquoise eyes.
Everybody loves the story (set in Utah and Massachusetts). Anybody know a literary agent who's looking for a property that will sell?

It think itโ€™s awesome that you & management have a good relationship.
You may try to see if they would allow you to run a horizontal rubber bumper along that concrete wall.

I'm way ahead of you, @14U. ;)

I considered adding something like that, but the truth is I'll have plenty of room to get in and out of my Bronco. I am going to "hog the line" (and probably step over it) when I park here. So no door dings to worry about.

Another thing, I work for a print company, one that offers grand format printing, and we print on ANYTHING, including concrete. Before I even mentioned it, my coworkers suggested I get a "Bronco Parking Only" placard applied to the FLOOR of my parking space. They know me well. LOL
