Anyone else get the Email about the Off-Roadeo Outpost trail drives?
its pretty good idea you get to use your Bronco and go on trails guided by Off-Roadeo guides.

A little birdy told me they might be adding a Merus date in September. $595 was a good deal we did one of the Pilot Off road connect trips and it was a great time. and you get to learn about your rig and how to use it. 2.3l and 2.7l have different tools available to them so it was well worth it.

anyone thinking of going?

I had posted about it I think yesterday. As of my posting I could only link to it through that email and not directly through the OffRoadeo site. Looks pretty interesting. Edit: Nice to see they actually have the link on the OffRoadeo Site up and running now!

Hungry Valley is only about 30 minutes from where I live! I wonder which trail they are going to use for the Advanced course…Miller Jeep Trail would be a great choice…

Cool concept but that price point is crazy for a couple hours of temporary transplants guiding folks in their own backyard and for them to imply only Badlands and SAS are real Broncos capable of these adventures is asinine.

My buddy and I will be attending the November 9th date in Uwharrie National Forest in North Carolina. It's the closest one to me (at 7 hours away).

My buddy and I are going to make the 7 hour trek to Troy, North Carolina the day before, do the Advanced course on the 9th, and then on the 10th hit Windrock for the day on the way back to Nashville.

Let me know if anyone else will be at Uwharrie. Would be cool to meet some folks from BN.

I might also try to get to one of the others, but when 7 hours is closest... yeesh. I think Pennsylvania was the next closest but that'd be a hike and then some.

They do pre-run the trails. Or at least they did for the off-road connect. But odds are these guides have been to most of these places before. They also have intermediate trails at some parks for non Sasquatch and even sports. But it is different being guided by someone that knows a Bronco vs being guided by a Jeep person we experienced that two weeks ago at Merus a stock Everglades need a little more spotting than a heavily modded Jeep. We were the only Stock vehicle in the group.

It seems like they pick trails that are worth the trek there are several places to wheel in Texas but they picked three of the best locations. We chose one that was 7-1/2 hours away. And thinking of doing it again. Depends on the dates and if it works with super cel west.

When I look at this community it seems that Ford, the people at OffRoadeo and at BN are trying to provide opportunities to people so they can build their skills and confidence to a level that they are comfortable with. For many people, they have done the OffRoadeo experience driving one of Fords vehicles and want the chance to drive their own vehicle in a safer environment, as they build their skill level. For many Wiley veteran off roaders, they don’t need or want this. But for many they look forward to having the best chance of limiting damage to their vehicle. I have seen more than a few people bite off more than they could chew, even with a guide And on an “easy” trail. One reality of venturing out is the very real likelihood of damaging your vehicle. Knowing ahead of time what you may encounter, and knowing if your rig is properly equipped for a run is important and can lower your chances of damaging your Bronco Or having someone get injured. Having one of these very capable guides leading us on the trails is a reassuring thing for many. As for the locations, none of them are in my backyard, but I have never been one to shy away from a good road trip. I hope that many are able to afford and take advantage of these opportunities. See you all out on the trail.

Cool concept but that price point is crazy for a couple hours of temporary transplants guiding folks in their own backyard and for them to imply only Badlands and SAS are real Broncos capable of these adventures is asinine.

It's more than a couple of hours, it's 8-AM to 1PM and the price is right in line with what others are charging for the same kind of thing only those are "generic" (i.e. not Bronco specific). But I think that it's up to everyone to decide if the price is worth it for you. Being here in SoCal I know that the nearest Offroadeo location is in Nevada, and not everyone can/wants to make that trip, so this is a great opportunity of folks to hit something that's nearby to SoCal. It's also an opportunity for folks who bought a used Bronco to get some training with it offroad.

I can't speak to the other locations, but Hungry Valley is an interesting choice. I live near there, and for the easy and intermediate runs the park is perfect. The train is pretty representative of what you get around here. They also have an off-road training area where you can practice your skills which, I suspect, they will be taking advantage of. What I'm curious about is the advanced class. There really aren't a lot of "difficult" trails in Hungry Valley OHV in my opinion. But, you don't have to go far to find something that would be great. It's called Miller Jeep Trail. But I doubt they will use it since it's pretty much an all day run.

As for theThe Trail Guides they are all very experienced by now at teaching offroad skills. I'm confident that if you give them a day or two on the trails at HVOHV and they will be telling folks who's gone there for years things they didn't know.

This right here. A bronco knowledgeable guide might help avoid something like this.
Pretty minor I think but man those wheels will be hard to find. LOL.

Just signed up for Nov 7. Will be at home for us being in NC but after our trips to NH & TX we deserve it. Loved the experience we had at Bronco Off-Roadeo! Hope to see you there. Thinking if things go well Nov 7 will sign up for Nov 8 too

That's just a little trail rash that shows you actually offroad your Bronco and it's not just a pavement princess! Think of them as badges of honor.

I absolutely get it. Ultimately though seems like a few folks have figured out a clever way to get paid to travel and wheel where they want to. We can meet locals on the forums and arrange to wheel with more experienced folks for free and meet new friends while we're at it. It seems like a very cool thing , just not what I'd likely drop 6 bills on. That's money that could be used for mods or off road recovery tow if really needed.

Precisely my point. I've met up with people I've met here for free and have gone on runs. I'm upfront about being new to all this and get along just fine. The community is absolutely the heart of Bronco Nation. The friendships and outdoor comradery with the Bronco Nation is invaluable but again cheaper.

Honestly , I'd prefer to road trip to Cali and do one there vs PNW unless the PNW one goes up in the mountains.
