Hey all,
A few months ago my bronco got struck by lightning and destroyed most of the modules. My dealer has been able to source everything except the PCM. Part Number: MB3Z12A650AXB which appears to be on national back order with no ETA date.

Ive been searching for broncos that are being parted out and have not found any. Or any salvage yards that have any new broncos. Does anyone here have an idea of where I might be able to find a PCM for 2021 badlands?

yes, they are covering the cost. The issue I have in getting on the road is the back ordered part. Im looking for any alternative.

Could you use one from like an f150 and flash it to run the bronco?

Try Lakeland Ford, if any dealer can get it, it would be them. [email protected] and https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/Ford__/Engine-Control-Module/103412798/MB3Z12A650AXB.html

Some places may have $100 core charge. But here is another source, "guarantee in 4 days" https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-ecm-mb3z12a650axb?c=az0x

You have probably already tried this, but just in case you haven't there is some type of locater system that salvage yards use to locate parts. You might try a salvage yard that has access to this parts network to try and locate one for you.

I also have to ask what you did to make the Bronco Gods mad enough to hit yours with a lightning bolt? I want to make sure I NEVER do that when I get mine!

lol....yeah. Im actually pretty lucky that I wasn't involved with the lightning strike as well. Truck was parked about 15 feet from the house. it killed my internet, backup internet and signal booster too. But, at the time of day that it happened, Im generally outside doing stuff. There was no indication of a storm prior to that strike. Im at 10k feet so the weather is weird.

The guy who owns StickerFab just had his two Bronco’s declared a loss due to Hurricane Ian. Maybe you can reach out to him and see if he’ll do a swap?
