Ford Performance Parts & Accessories is pleased to announce starting in March 2024, Bronco hardtops for the 4-Door Bronco will be available for purchase in very limited quantities.

So this means select customers will only be able to purchase one (1) Bronco hardtop via accessories.ford.com.
In order to match the limited supply of Bronco hardtops with the potential demand, Ford will send out e-mail communications containing a URL and with an email validation for Customers to purchase via accessories.ford.com. They are going to check the vin to make sure its still active I'm guessing via Ford pass.

Customer communications will be sent in batches with the first being sent to owners of the oldest 21MY Broncos in early-March. Customers will be required to sign-in with their email address, as verification of eligibity, upon entry to the website.

**Due to the limited supply of hardtops, processing order information and fulfilling customer orders may take up to 12+ months**

So I'm sure this is going to be like $12k because you know... Ford. But anyways, did not see it on the site to confirm that would be said price.

And honestly, since @Ford Motor Company pushed us into the soft top so they could get more Bronco's out in the wild, I think Ford should be selling it for $795 (original upgrade price, or was it $695?? I don't remember), or hell, I'd even pay double that to be fair $1590 and they can have this ratty soft top back!

Its $4995+ tax and if you choose to have it installed.
But Ford didn't "push" you into a soft top. Ford gave you the option to switch to a soft top to get it faster. Everyone had their choice 100% of what they wanted to do. If you were forced into a choice that's on your dealer. You could swap and get the soft top to get it faster or you could wait it out.

The people who said its 12k is the people who priced it out at their dealer part by part because the whole top was never available for purchase until now.

No, I said it would be $12k because I figured that's what Ford would do.

Being that I ordered day 2, had a Mustang pushing over 235k miles, and Ford switching to an allocation system because of dealers offering good deals to get a ton of orders... so yeah, in my eyes, Ford PUSHED me into it. Whereas if Ford decided to build Bronco's based on reservation number I probably would've had the hard top before my Mustang gave out.

You call it how you want, and I'll call it how I want. Free country.

It will be interesting to see what the take rate is on the hard top at $5,000.

If you look on Facebook Market place all of them are selling between 4000-6500 from what I've seen listed. Now if they actually paid that I guess that's between the seller and buyer. But I don't see them posted for long. I've had to help a few customers get them. Now sometimes they trade a soft top to reduce the price I've seen a lot on a bunch of the Bronco page on Facebook.

But if you look at Jeep that's the price of a lot of their tops as well. So its not like its far out of line what the competitor charges. Along with after market tops as well.

Advanced Fiber Glass top is 5250 vs Fords for 4995. Neither of these prices includes shipping or taxes.
Anderson Composites top is 5999 plus taxes and shipping.
Neither of these companies have filled demand at all. A lot of people are still waiting for any type of hard top.

So Then you have to compare which one you want to go with. Something that would be covered under a manufactory warranty. Or an after market. I tend to lean more to Fords products just because yes I work at a dealer but its also easy for me to drop my Bronco off in service while I'm at work and I get it at the end of the day.

You forgot to mention Turn Off Road $4495, Rally Tops $3995. And I do believe TOR has some sort of warranty with their tops. And Ford has had issues with tops that crack, leak, so on. So having a Manufacturer's Warranty is required at that point. Seeing that you work at a dealer, now I know why you are pushing the Ford top.

And honestly, Ford quality has taken a huge hit in the last few years, since the release of the Bronco. Never had any issues with my '84, '92 or '93 Broncos. As stated above my '12 Mustang went over 235k miles. Yet the 2021, lots of little quirks and annoyances. From electronics that work correctly when they want to. To having to replace a shock (rotted out) at 42k miles, and 3 more that are rusting away. I either learn to live with things, or fix on my own. I will say I love my Bronco because it's a Bronco, but that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed with Ford. They did a horrible job with this release.

Well I'm not one to voice your opinion to. You should communicate any frustrations to Ford. 😀

And thanks for the info on the other two tops. I've seen horrible reviews so that was not one I wanted to talk about. But thanks!

And I'm sorry for "pushing" a Ford product as people have been waiting for this top for a while and we got communication late yesterday. My apologies to you.

Having seen the Rally top in person... not impressed at all. Seemed lower quality than the OEM hard top to be honest, would not spend money on it.

Haven't seen the TOR hard top, but people who have gotten theirs seem to like it. It's an instant DQ for me because it doesn't have a separate middle panel, but I haven't heard anything bad about it, so it must be at least passible in terms of quality.

I've always thought the ADV Fiberglass hard top showed the most promise, but they must be in some sort of production hell because they STILL haven't shipped any production units to people. Shame too because they had a bunch of momentum and even got a signal boost from @MitchellWatts. But now even Ford is beating them to market. Don't like to rip apart small businesses too much... but when you originally promised/estimated delivery late 2022 and we're now sitting 2024... it's uhh... yeah... you just can't trust a company with thousands of dollars when they do that.

I can’t possibly afford that expense this year. I was expecting the cost to come in around half that price because I was pushed into a soft top by my dealer and Ford. Why else would they incentivize the switch if they weren’t pushing people that direction?

Hopefully these will be available in 2025 when I can afford one. So disappointed in that price. People who got the free “Hard top prep kit” should get an additional rebate off the $4,995 MSRP.

They gave 1000 ( I believe id have to dig to find the old paperwork) in Fordpass points to have people switch who wanted it sooner rather than later. Not nearly enough to cover much but that was the offer at the given time. Unfortunately that's going to be the defense they use is they didn't force anyone to switch. They gave people the choice to switch.

The whole time I was guessing 4-6k because when you price it out piece by piece I believe it was like 12k so I cut it in half.

Sorry to bring the bad news @TechnicalDisaster :(

Right toe...could be left toe...your choice, but your are correct sir. Buy it now get a soft top, wait and get the hard top. Sometimes, most of the time, patience pays, in this case it appears to be around $4200.

Well isn't that just great. I was day two reservation and initially ordered with dual tops and then got the shaft and had to go with soft top only (with hard top connections) if I ever wanted to get my vehicle (608 days later by the way). Talked with several @Ford folks at different events and was told that should be able to get it for close to the original pricing (which was much cheaper as part of original combo order pricing) when it became available. Now its more than twice the price and still may not be able to get it unless you're one of the chosen ones. 😡

I’m not at all looking forward to the process of ordering these. I may not even be one of the lucky select customers who will get the offer email. And I swore I would never preorder another Ford product again. It’s like they designed this program to slap order holders in the face.

I mentioned this in the equivalent Bronco6G thread, but I think it would a good idea if Ford pulled up the old reservation lists and allow those who ordered a soft top Bronco a chance to order this hard top before the masses.

We all know we're going to see a bunch of these for sale online... "factory hard top new in box!!!". It's going to happen, so it would be nice if Ford offered reservation holders a chance to buy one first to hopefully reduce the amount scalpers. We're going to get scalpers regardless, there are probably a ton of reservation holders that are perfectly happy with their soft top and would love to make a quick buck. But hopefully they can take some steps to reduce it.

They gave a $1000 in points to those who had the mod-top on order. Didn't give crap to anyone who just had a hard top.

Man am I glad that I wasn’t in a position to need or even get my order during the real log jam. I am glad that was able to stick to my guns on the hard top. I hate seeing all the crappy conversations from 2-3 years ago resurfacing. Just seems like the same issues from late 2020 and early 2021 are still here. How about Ford checks that computer thingy and find the people who made those hard decisions and give them first crack at a better price. It shouldn’t be to difficult to see who of the original owners, still owns the original batch that changed over.
