So after 3 days of ownership (Badlands, 4dr, SAS, 2.7, Soft Top) and 104 miles here are some preliminary features that I have found. Some I like, some not so much. Post up your real life experiences and let's keep this running list for everyone to reference:

Surprise & Delight:
(y) SEAT HEATERS - it was a little cold in NY early this morning & I turned on the seat heater. It worked great, warmed up my bum quickly & I had to turn it down to medium after a few minutes. I was surprised that when I hopped in my Bronco later in the day, the seat heater was still on the setting that I left it on. I didn't expect this functionality and it will be helpful as the weather gets colder and I warm her up in the morning with the remote start & the seat will already be warm!
(y) CAR PLAY - or more specifically WIRELESS Car Play is awesome! No need to even plug in my phone - it just connects
(y) FORD PASS APP - cool concept, don't know how much I will actually use it but I like the idea of Lock, Unlock, Start & know where my Bronco is.
(y) CLIMATE CONTROL - if the HVAC is off, simply rotating the temperature knob will turn on the system. My Range Rover doesn't even do this!
(y) RADIO PRESETS - the ability to configure XM, AM, FM as well as the quantity of presets all intermingled next to each other on the radio screen is great!

now some bummers:
(n) ZONE LIGHTING - is useless unless it can be auto shut off when you lock the vehicle. Clearly, I don't understand this feature
(n) SIDE MIRROR LIGHTS - are a great little feature and it's cool that you can turn them on and off individually but, there is not indication on the switch that activates them to illustrate if they are on.
(n) 360* CAMERAS - very cool but they turn off over like 10 MPH and are not able to be engaged while driving - WTF?!?
(n) FRAMELESS WINDOWS - very nice feature as compared to Wrangler but, they rattle a bit when partially opened and driving over bumpy roads
(n) SEAT BELT - why isn't the shoulder height adjustable like every other vehicle?
(n) INTERIOR LIGHTING - There is no cross bar like the Wrangler to mount a rear dome light to but, Ford could have added lights on each side for the rear seats
(n) REAR HVAC - no vents for the rear seats? FAIL!
(n) AMBIENT LIGHTING - can be configured to OFF, 10 seconds, 20 seconds or 120 seconds. I want 30 or 60 why such limited options?
(n) FOG LIGHTS - Badlands doesn't come equipped with simple fog lights - another FAIL (although this will be easily remedied via AM solution)

Let's not treat this thread as a bit@h session, simply a place for us to all share our likes & dislikes for the current features & functions - I am confident that since this is the 1st year of production (for Gen 6) many will be addressed or resolved going forward.

Overall your list of bummers isn't all that bad. A little fine tuning is all thats neededThe hardest is probably the rear heat.

After a short test drive at my friendly local dealer, I found so many screens & menus that I will need to sit in my driveway for about an hour to view & select my choices. Just overload compared to my 2015 vehicle. thanks

So after a month of ownership here are a few updates:

good stuff:
(y) Auto high beams work very well
(y) Activating high beams via the stalk by pushing forward is typical but they also turn off if you push forward again or pull back. Most vehicles turn off only if you pull back.
(y) FordPass app is pretty cool and has nice features including location services so I know where my Bronco is and trip logging so I can see where it’s bee

needs improvement
(n) Drivers side visor hits the rear view mirror before rotating fully to the downward position - terrible design flaw
(n)Keyless entry Auto Unlock only works if you approach the front door - if you walk to the rear door to put stuff in the back like a briefcase the door does not Auto Unlock upon approach like the front. You need to walk by the front doors to activate this feature.
(n) Minor issue but, having to press the lock button on the remote prior to the auto start button 2x in order to activate auto start is unnecessary

Yea for the life of me I can’t understand why OEMs are so pretentious about auto start. Honda and Chrysler same, the Honda shuts off after 10 minutes, which is just not enough, and no way to change it.

But mostly I just can’t understand how it’s 2021 and nobody can figure out how to put a neutral switch in a manual transmission…

I've told them in posts here and other areas how to do it.
Ford must have the "not invented here syndrome" they seem to be butt hurt after the interval wiper deal.I will outline it again here.
1 add a quadrant (park position) to the shift pattern
2 label the knob "park"
3 when in park position it activates a switch for neutral safety
4 engages a parking pawl same as automatic trans

I have basically the same build, haven’t figured out if I have rain sensing wipers. I have the Lux package and figured it would have it on there. I have 4K miles one mine and love it, the only other feature I don’t like is the auto start/stop and hopefully that can be programmed to be turned off.

With the Visor are you sure it's not expanded a little bit? Mine doesn't hit the rearview mirror no matter what angle the mirror is at but the visor slides on the pole so maybe make sure yours is all the way retracted.

The radio presets is pretty cool! I did not know that so thank you for pointing it out. I also love that the AC turns on when you adjust any dials.

I was also thinking they could use the neutral position of the transfer case…it’s electronically actuated and they must have a sensor to confirm it’s in neutral, so wouldn’t be any additional hardware mods. Could also look for parking brake engaged for extra check, again no extra hardware ‍♂️

Its the stuff I would use to put on an aftermarket unit.

The problem with that is all the extra steps required by the driver, putting into a park position would engage all the safety crap automatically and its intuitive.People don't read owners manuals and they couldn't figure it out, it would be as bad as the "Coast" button for cruise control. Had a gf that "couldn't figure out what it did" I suggested to read the owners manual, the look I got was lethal.

I park close to the house so I run out and start my car and go back inside if its below 10F or so.
If Ford wants to ignore this I'm sure Chrysler would be interested. didn''t take long for a V-8 wrangler to appear. They have engineers that have grit.
Imagine the sales figures a remote start Bronco with 7 spd and V-6 would have.

Does it come with the trial period for Sirius-XM? Not a big deal, just curious.

Yes - 3 months free

And, you should NEVER pay full price for SiriusXM. Call an threaten to cancel and they will give you a better price. Don’t accept that price either, there is always a lower offer. Iam currently paying just $5/mo for full access including steaming and have for years.

Coming from the Wrangler U connect system, the sync setup is amazing. But, I will be ordering the jbl speaker. Not having the overhead speakers really hurts the sound quality.

Agreed - I have the 430 set up with the factory sub in my JKU Rubicon and it thumps. The Bronco sound system leaves a bunch to be desired. Audio upgrade is on my list of mods. Ford has a rear speaker bar that attaches to the rear roll bar - I would love to hear one live and see if that’s a viable option.

Haven't heard one yet, but the pictures of them make it seem like your rear visibility drops to zero if you put one in. Just something to keep in mind.

FE 2-dr here. Just wanted to say that we drove to our son's place into a 30-40 mph wind yesterday. Temp when we left was 50 and 15 where we arrived. We were so impressed in the quality of the cabin environment! No cold spots or drafts from air blowing in through the doors. Yes, there was wind noise driving into this wind with an 80 mph speed limit. But neither one of us had any complaints, it was warm and toasty the whole time. We were reminded how cold and windy it was outside every time we refueled!
I think that you have listed just about all of the items that we find to be great/not so great. I'm a little confused with the XM service. I know that all new car owners get 3 months trial. The marketing material states that the FE has 3 years but XM has already contacted us stating that we only have a 3 month trial. Anyone have any ideas?

Thinking the same thing. I'm not liking the price either for what it is.
Actually looking back at the offroadeo bronco, you are correct. Looks like it sits lower than the headrest 20210924_174805.jpg
