Back in February, my Bronco club (Gold Country Broncos) hosted a "Bronco Academy" at Prairie City off-road park here in Northern CA. This was targeted towards new Bronco owners who were looking to get their feet wet dirty for the first time. We had volunteers at various obstacles helping guide people through them to help build confidence. We also had a number of sponsors donate items for raffles/giveaways, including our partner, Wild Horses 4x4. Mitch Creel and his team have been fantastic partners through this Bronco journey, and you can see we had a little fun with him in this video.
Reservation: 7/20/20 | MY '21 order: 2/1/21 | MY '22 order: 10/22/21 | Blend 8/5, built 8/8, 'built' status 8/27, in my driveway 10/12/22

This seems is AMAZING…. For those of us fairly young to off-roading, these kind of events provide so much more than car shows and meet-ups, (which are also fun and great for checking out others’ rigs).
Maybe BN would consider helping coordinate regional clubs and efforts. Others may not want the help, but I’ll bet there are some off-road enthusiasts out there chomping at the bit to help those newly arrived, but don’t know where to start in organizing or coordinating an event…
Probably just shouldn't call it "Bronco Academy" unless sanctioned by Ford o without Ford's permission. Technically, you're using their Trademark.
I do like the idea, the concept, and the community feel of it all
(just to be clear... I'm totally "pro" the whole thing... just saying that technically you're violating their copyrights and trademarks... and companies - particularly lawyers for large companies - get their undies in a wad about that sorta thing...)
Enthusiasts keep the brands alive, and by extension the manufacturers. There have been Mustang clubs and roundups for decades without which the Probe would have replaced the Mustang and Ford would likely be a distant memory.

I would definitely be interested in this if there were another one. Would just need some heads up to get time off work and plan the road trip.

This is a great idea! People are amazed when they realize what their Bronco can do. When they see other Broncos make it over an obstacle, it gives them confidence. Then when they do it themselves, that confidence soars.
That is an awesome club!
There is a difference between a "Club" and "Meetups/Roundups" and labeling something "Bronco Academy" - which, by concept, directly competes with something called "Bronco Off-Roadeo" which is operated by a third party company with licensing agreements with Ford to use the Name/Image/Likenesses.
Very supportive of your effort, your club, your meetup, your roundups, and the overall concept. I was merely trying to be nice and mention that from a legal standpoint if you made paraphernalia and marketed the above as "Bronco Academy" that you may very well get a Cease & Desist. That's all.
From what I can see no logo is used and that is the trademark. Not the word Bronco which existed long before and will long after Ford. Also I don't think off -rodeo "competes" being $2k and all. There's nothing to cease nor dissist being as no Bronco logo nor Ford/blue oval was used and you could sell all the Bronco Acadamy swag you wanted. Let's count up how many times you've typed the word Bronco

yeah we're not charging for the event or making ANY money off it ... it's all done by us (the people who run the local bronco group) as volunteers, getting donations from vendors as raffle prizes, etc... it's definitely not intended to be any kind of competition for the Bronco Off Roadeo...
