This is me in my happy place...

Happy Monday!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I had a little time this past Saturday to drive up to Bristol Motor Speedway for their annual Speedway In Lights...
Now, not your typical Bronco atmosphere, but I must say the Bronco did well going down the quarter mile Bristol Dragway in Thunder Valley, not sure of my times, but I'm sure they are impressive, especially with that 2.7 Ecoboost Ford Performance Tune...πŸ˜‰ while the ride is like 3-4 miles across the BMS property, millions of lights. And almost as many cars πŸ€”... it's so great time, and I'm sure kids would love it. Actually getting to drive inside the famed half mile BMS is worth the price of admission!! As you get to the track you get to drive thru the concourse area that is normally filled thousands of fans for concessions and merchandise is pretty cool as well. But then you get to dive off into turn three at 30⁰ straight down, while turning right to get onto the high banks of BMS... this is where the fun happens.. I stop to let the folks in front of me get about 100 yards ahead... sitting there felt like the Bronco was about 15⁰ degrees from turning over on its side... turning off the traction control. I stab the gas as the tires spin, and the rear end does down the track a bit before straightening out and launches to 65mph thru turn four before coming back on to the straightway and start finish line. 🀩😊.. and catching up to traffic ahead, Yes they actually let you drive on the track.. with all that said, I believe there needs to be a one race, all Bronco, run what ya brung race on a cool fall night next year... I digress.. The lights are great, they have ice skating, snacks, and a carousel inside the Infield as well. (do NOT go on Saturday nights) you've been warned. No rock crawling, no mud, but if you like a lil clean fun in the Bronco, this is great place.

I agree, before Nascar changed I didn't miss a race in 11 consecutive years at bristol.... but we know it changed fast. Went from 160k people to an embarrassing low count, that tv avoids showing the crowd now. Oh well, it was fun taking another lap around the high banks of BMS again.

Still a pretty big Nascar fan and love going to Bristol although it's been a few years since I've been there. It's an amazing track. Still can't believe they ever turned it into a dirt track for one month out of the year. lol
Thanks for the pictures. Looks like it would be a great time.

I grew up in the south and Sunday afternoon was all about NASCAR racing. Get up Sunday morning, go to church, get home and cook some good ole fried chicken, then turn on NASCAR (and maybe take a nap)!! I’m still in the south, have reduced my fried food intake (Doc’s orders) and don’t enjoy NASCAR at all any longer. Sad how it has changed, my opinion. However, my fav place to attend races has always been BMS! What a great place. I would arrive Wednesday afternoon for the Saturday night race! Great times. Thanks @Mikes2021Bronco for sharing your story and pics of BMS. Lights and the Bronco look awesome! 🀩
