Happy Monday!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I had a little time this past Saturday to drive up to Bristol Motor Speedway for their annual Speedway In Lights...
Now, not your typical Bronco atmosphere, but I must say the Bronco did well going down the quarter mile Bristol Dragway in Thunder Valley, not sure of my times, but I'm sure they are impressive, especially with that 2.7 Ecoboost Ford Performance Tune...π while the ride is like 3-4 miles across the BMS property, millions of lights. And almost as many cars π€... it's so great time, and I'm sure kids would love it. Actually getting to drive inside the famed half mile BMS is worth the price of admission!! As you get to the track you get to drive thru the concourse area that is normally filled thousands of fans for concessions and merchandise is pretty cool as well. But then you get to dive off into turn three at 30β° straight down, while turning right to get onto the high banks of BMS... this is where the fun happens.. I stop to let the folks in front of me get about 100 yards ahead... sitting there felt like the Bronco was about 15β° degrees from turning over on its side... turning off the traction control. I stab the gas as the tires spin, and the rear end does down the track a bit before straightening out and launches to 65mph thru turn four before coming back on to the straightway and start finish line. π€©π.. and catching up to traffic ahead, Yes they actually let you drive on the track.. with all that said, I believe there needs to be a one race, all Bronco, run what ya brung race on a cool fall night next year... I digress.. The lights are great, they have ice skating, snacks, and a carousel inside the Infield as well. (do NOT go on Saturday nights) you've been warned. No rock crawling, no mud, but if you like a lil clean fun in the Bronco, this is great place.
