So we bought my wife a new Bronco Sport when they first started getting to the dealerships which she loves and I really wanted to order a full size 4 door Bronco but the timing just wasn’t working in our favor due to moving from VA to TX. Once we got settled in I started doing my due diligence and research on what I wanted to order that is until we drove by our local Ford dealer and saw they had some 2021 full size 4 doors on the lot and absolutely fell in love with the one we eventually bought that night, only had about 2k miles and in great condition. Had everything I would had ordered except no modular bumper, no big deal.

But then I read all these posts and hear the stories about getting the pics of theirs ordered Broncos finally being finished or finally getting their Bronco, and I can’t help feeling like I missed out on something. A part of me wishes I had waited and ordered one but the impatient kid in me shouts this thing is so freaking awesome.

Some people got the "Baby Picture" some did not. Just pretend you did not, and out of spite, drive it like you stole it. Post a ton of pictures of yours and hers and enjoy🥳

It was a long haul for lots of us. No biggie that you weren't along for that, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Enjoy what you have! Also, pics...

There are certainly two different experiences… if you’ve never ordered a coveted vehicle directly, and had to wait, it’s a little like pregnancy (for guys)… lots of excitement at the start, lots of months of bored waiting, and climactic terror when everything finally happens at delivery! Followed by a glow unsurpassed…

Buying off the lot seems more like going after a new puppy… still amazing, but with less angst and anticipation…

In the end both have a larger family, higher insurance costs, and a smile thst just won’t quit.

Ps- not everyone who orders gets pictures from the factory!

What a long, strange trip it has been. My "baby picture" arrived via email from Ford about 4 weeks AFTER I bought my Bronco. Because of the 4-month wait after by build was confirmed complete (modules active) and my dealer never really knowing when it was going to be delivered, I finally gave up caring after the fourth false date. One day my salesrep sent me a pic of a Bronco on a transporter and said, "guess what showed up today". It took some convincing to buy it actually, because I had lost interest. LOL.

The only thing you were missing out on is a long wait for the same feeling you have now.

I'm glad you gave an orphaned pony a good home. Enjoy every mile you put on her from here on out. By the way, I waited 14 months, and never got a "baby pic," so there are no guarantees of getting one of those. I love my Bronco just the same. I hope you enjoy your Bronco for years to come!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.
