Quick question on the bestop trektop - outside of the install - how difficult is it to convert back to hard top? Meaning if you want to throw the hard top back on does any hardware need to be removed / does anything get in the way if you want to throw the mic back on ?

Purchased the Bestop Trektop today along with the Bimini screen. This video should answer your question . . .

Thanks! My question is once installed in spring - say come winter - what needs to be uninstalled to throw the hardtop back on - ie how painful is that? Is it even worth it?

From the video just work backwards.

Looks like it‘s 6-8 torx bolts (hardware & tools given to you) and then a couple straps. Soft top/Bimini need to come off and then the hard top needs to be put back on.

Wish I had a better answer for you but I don’t have my Bronco or Bestop Trektop soft top yet - so I haven’t removed or installed any of it. Maybe someone who has both can chime in? From the video it looks like it takes 30-60 minutes.

I’m in NY so having the soft top in the spring/summer and then switching back to the MIC hardtop in the fall/winter makes sense to me IMO.

Why? I'm ditching the hard top once it's off, never wanted it

Was surprised Bestop getting them out so quickly - ordered yesterday and should have it by Friday.

If you don't want your hard top, would you ever plan on selling it? I am assuming you have a 2 door?

I'd of gone soft top if it were an option, I mean atm for winter it's fine, but I don't wanna commit to a topless day and rather just flip it on or off when I feel like it.

Yeah, I'd consider selling it
