Hi,

I just bought a bronco today and absolutely love it. I mean, I still can't believe it. I came from a BMW X3 hybrid which is a great car, but I had zero passion for it.

Now I'm rolling a MT BadLands and I feel great.

I have a super long story about getting stuck on the side of the road in sand in my old BMW M2, and after that, I had to have high ground clearance... which brings me to my Badlands, it definitely has higher ground clearance than my old (and sold) BMW M2. :D Went from M2 -> Toyota 4Runner TRD PRO -> x3 -> Badlands.

I have been studying up on youtube and here about Sasquatch, and that is what I wanted, but dealer 'only' had the Badlands which was what I wanted, a manual and the Area 51 color and the front/rear locking diffs.

How different capability wise is the Badlands vs. a 'normal' Bronco with Sasquatch? I'm not looking to do rock climbing, but I do want the best 'bang for the buck' type of offroading capability, and I knew I wanted the locking diffs.

I do want to join a local Las Vegas light/medium offroading group too if anybody knows of any.

Thanks, and I'm happy to be part of the gang here.

Welcome Todd!

Ok, capability wise? I have a Badlands on 33’s, Auto Transmission.

Your Badlands on 33’s has the same gear ratio as any Sasquatch - 4.7 gears.

Your Badlands has the HOSS suspension, so does every Sasquatch.

Capability wise you lose about an inch of ground clearance. But you should be able to do everything a Sasquatch does. I just attended the Off Roadeo in Austin, Tx, the Badlands on 33 did everything the Badlands Sasquatch did.

I suggest attending the Bronco OffRoadeo in Vegas! You’ll see the capabilities and learn so much about your new ride!

Sweet. That sounds great, is the OffRoadeo a one time thing, or do they do this every so often?

I attended the Nevada OffRoadeo and they are definitely an established entity. Grab a friend or two and spend an amazing day with "like" people and thoughtful instructors, yummy food and so much education on driving and the Bronco. Highly recommend. I logged into my account and saw this when looking for open dates. Maybe because I already used my "new owner" credit. Their customer service is great. I would recommend calling ASAP to book.

Also trying to figure out Badlands trim vs. other trims, heard that BL trim has bash plates and other goodies that other trims don't, regardless of Sasquatch package? Anybody shed some light on this?

Can't wait for tomorrow to go driving. :D
