Say what you will, but I like having fog lights. Does the factory Full Underbody Bash Plates still apply since I chose the standard bumper? It is my understanding that bumper is still steel, just not modular. What say you?

Nope, not an option on the standard bumper. Can move up to capable bumper and get it I believe and keep the fogs

Isn't the standard bumper on the Badlands, the steel one with the fog lights?

The standard bumper is the cheapo LOL If the BL is upgraded it's the capable bumper then, IDK on that one. I ordered the WT and stopped looking at 22MY changes LOL
they got the standard, capable, and MOD for 22MY but no clue which goes with which in 22MY

Okay I need to change my vernacular here; by "standard" I mean the "standard option bumper for the Badlands trim". I do not mean the "standard bumper for other Bronco trims".

Do the bash plates still apply if I use the FORMALLY KNOWN AS Ford Capable Front Bumper?

Ya know...some times when I read these threads it reminds me of the song, "There's A Hole in the Bucket". :0)
The amount of options there are, but you can't have this option because you didn't order this option.

From the 2022 Bronco Order Guide. For the Badlands:
EXTERIOR
● Bumper, Front and Rear – Powder Coated Steel
● Full Vehicle Steel Bash Plates

I believe this is called the "capable" bumper with fog lights

Optional:
Front Bumper – Ford Performance Heavy-Duty Modular
Note: Deletes standard LED Fog Lamps
Lt. LAGER = 2 Door Badlands, A51, High pkg, 2.3, 7 Speed, Non-SAS. Prod week 8/8/2022 - Picked up 12/5/2022.

Thank you. I have a hard time digging through stuff at times. Call me dumb if it helps.

EDIT: The question came from overthinking the two bumpers, and how the front bash plate would mount to either one. It wouldn't surprise me if there simply was not a front bash plate with the capable front bumper, and was only available with the HD. I do now see the pre-selected option in build and price, so thank you everyone for joining me on this journey of self discovery.

You are not dumb. I think Ford is working overtime to make things as confusing as possible.

I remember during the reveal that the steel bumper was shown and talked about very early on and then just kinda disappeared. Thank goodness it came back as the standard option on the Badlands for MY22 and kept the MOD bumper as an upgrade. At least with the price protection for the year one reservation holders there was no price increase on the MOD Bumper

Couldn't agree more on that!! They cant even get the 21MY reservations out but let's go and change things up so those that didn't get their 21MY are all confused to what their now 22MY reservation really is now

I ordered a Badlands 3-18-21 (reservation date 7-31-20) that came standard with I believe the modular bumper. I see a member mentioned that there is price protection which I believe is a $525 dollar upcharge this MY 22 for the modular bumper. Can someone point me in the right direction where to find that information. I know Ford has stated there will price protection on the base price of all models ordered before 3-19-21. Thanks much appreciated!

I have the same build and I got the price protection. Let me look through my email. there was one from Ford Motor Company. And somewhere there is a post with the amounts.

I am attaching the email I got from Ford on 6/25/21. And when I resubmitted my build for MY22 after the price protection was factored in it was exactly the same.

I will admit, the plastic front bumper is pretty rough. It is the biggest mistake I made, that along with not getting the roof racks. I thought , foolishly, "Hey! Those are two things all companies will come out with b/c everybody changes them first thing!" Little did I know the days of 350- 5$ bumpers don't exist (or even 850$ )!

The greatest kick to the groin, is when I called Ford Parts and was quoted 725 a side for the factory roof rails. Funny, cause when you go online to order a 2022, the roof rack option only adds 350?

Complete BS nonsense. Forty two grand I gave them and I can't get a simple bumper and roof rack off them at a reasonable price?

Anyway, do what I did, run off the frame rails with a bull bar and then just run the lights off the bar. See below
