If you get a Badlands non-Sasquatch with the 2.7 and auto is the 4.7 diff still an option or auto instead of the 4.46? It’s showing up in the build and price tool as an option.

The 4.46 is what you get with a Non-Sasquatched Badlands that has an automatic transmission. The 4.7 is what you get on a Badlands that has the manual transmission or with Sasquatch (which would come with an automatic transmission).

Your route to a 2.7L Badlands with the automatic transmission and the 4.7 Rear Axle is through Sasquatch.

I just went to the Canadian B&P, chose automatic transmission and then selected 4.7 gearing. No up charge and didn't make me get Sasquatch.

The details page notes that the 4.7 comes with Sasquatch. It also says that it’s available on all Broncos though. We’ll see if this can be cleared up.

The build gives us the option to select the 4.7 gears with the auto instead of going with the 4.46. There is no up-charge for going with the 4.7. The 4.7 gears without the squatch package is my alternative build.

I would REALLY like to know what the difference is in the suspension between the badlands and squatch package.

Me too, but they are likely not in a rush to tell us they are the same, or nearly identical.

As understand it, the only difference is that the squatch has a small lift (.55"). This is because on extream articulation the tires will rub.

Ford has said they are “basically the same suspension, just different part numbers”. You’re not going to get much beyond larger tires, bead lock capable rims and larger fender flares for $2,500.

$4500 Canadian dollars. Absolutely brutal.

Going with the Badlands 4.7 Gear and non-squatch is my last option. I’m convinced it has to be an option because you can get the 35” without the squatch, and badlands comes stick with a larger tire than the other trims without the squatch. I’ve never seen an up charge for gearing options. I had the option of 3.73 or 3.55 on my truck... same price different fuel economy/acceleration.

I just tried to add 35" tires to a Badlands, auto, V6, 4.7 gears and it automatically added Sasquatch package .

How did you add the 35" with no Sasquatch?

I just tried again and you’re right. I thought I was able to do it a while back, but haven’t been on B&P for a month or more. I could have swore it worked a while ago and I assumed it was possible because of the description on both the comparison chart and the website under the badlands description. Who knows what the truth is at this point. Unlike Ford Motor Company, this Ford is sorry for wasting your time.

Didn't waste my time, so no worries. I was hoping you were on to something, still could be , it's not like the B&P is accurate.

You can build an automatic badlands on B&P and select the 4.7 without purchasing sasquatch. You've been able to do it for months, I don't think it is a glitch.

You’re right. I noticed when you have the auto selected selecting the tires only forces the headlock capable rims but doesn’t call it sasquatch. If you select the tires without having the auto selected you are forced into the Sasquatch package with the rims and automatic transmission which ups the package to over 4,000 now. There is definitely a bug or few on the badlands. I’m praying the 4.7 option persists in the end.

You can select the 4.7 axle/2.7L BL without Sasquatch. That is how I configured my order.

Well apparently you can select the 4.7 w/o Sasquatch on the B&P, but my salesperson is telling me you have to upgrade to Sasquatch to get 4.7. Very disappointing. The differentials cost the same. Why would Ford market the Bronco as the most easily customizable vehicle ever and then handcuff buyers into their wheels and tires just for a specific gearbox? Don’t answer! It was a rhetorical question!
