It's boxy; it has that. For me, the back end with the window is my least favorite angle. I do feel like it's one of those vehicles that will grow on me. I like a "weird" thing like a Volvo C303 or Pinzgauer. If it's a rectangle, it gets me eventually. Sounds like it will be decently useful off-road, though.

I'd have to wear a bag over my head driving that thing.
I always wanted a Unimog.
The Volvo and the Pinzgauer have that cool military/industrial thing going on.

What can it do off road, does the top crack, do the shocks leak, will they deliver them in a timely manner. What off road options does it have, etc.? If you have issues will the Toyota help desk fix your problems? Ya know the old saying, don't judge a book by the cover. Only thing I see wrong is they put the steering wheel on the wrong side.

Just looked at some other articles. Appears they have an off road version that is lifted, some beefier tires, etc. Also discusses a diesel option later. Has molly panels on the rear door. Would like a chance to drive on....Oh well. Might not be a bad little SUV.

Did Stellantis buy Yota? That thing looks like a Jeep Renegade that was in a wreck. 😳

Everything about this is only bad for Toyota. This would be quite the eyesore on US streets but it would make folks run into the arms of Bronco. The only thing I would see as a threat to Bronco is of Ford keeps pissing off their customers or if a retro forward Scout was made and made right.

I think Volkswagen was messing with an EV scout

I seem to remember something called a Willy's, then CJ, XJ, TJ, all kind of boxy looking. Heck the XJ had square head lights if I remember correctly. Lets see...how long have they been around? Hmmmmmm!! Oh well, I'm just happy they moved the steering wheel for me. :0)

YJ had the square lights, friend had one, I used to give her a hard time by saying YJ stood for Yuppie Jeep.

XJ was a Cherokee

I had a coworker that bought one of the first year Aztecs because it came with a tent you could attach to the rear hatch. He never used the tent. But he did like the fold down 2nd row seats.
