👀

Today, Ford dropped a story on Instagram, featuring a white fender featuring what appears to be a black and red Bronco badge, with a nod to the SUV’s inaugural model year.

Overlaid on the photo is simple text highlighting the iconic vehicle’s long reign, a location, and a date — Silver Lake Sand Dunes, August 1–2, 2025 — plus a countdown to registration opening in 21 days.

If you know, you know. Silver Lake isn’t just another off-road spot, it’s a Michigan gem and a centerpiece of ORV history. This stretch of sand has been a testing ground, a proving ground, and a celebration ground for generations of off-roaders. Since the early 20th century, Silver Lake has drawn thrill seekers and sand lovers alike: By the 1930s, people were already using vehicles to explore the shifting landscape. And even now, Silver Lake State ORV Area remains famous as Michigan’s only sand dune park where you can legally drive your own vehicle right on the dunes.

It’s no wonder Bronco owners have made it their summer tradition to visit as a group and try out the legendary 4x4's capabilities every August.

Let the Speculation Begin
This year looks to be no different, at least on the surface. Members of the Michigan Bronco Club have had their sights set on Silver Lake for months now: two days filled with old friends, new builds, and sandy hill climbs. Inside the club, it’s already one of the most anticipated meetups of the year.

But now, with this post from Ford, maybe there’s more fun in store ...

Well my guess about a Woodward reveal is now out the window.

BUT... also means we might see a Woodward appearance. 😁

The cruise happening five days after the birthday does seem like a great place for news.

Hoping that we will see it at Woodward as well, I'm currently planning on coming up for that.

Hi, I've noticed a honeycomb pattern on my MIC hard top that wasn't there before. I have a 2-door Wildtrak. I took it to the dealer on Monday to start a warranty claim. The service manager took photos and made the claim, but it was denied by Ford. I remember reading about this issue in the forum, but I just can't seem to find the thread that included photos of what was "warrantable" and what wasn't. Can someone post a link to that thread? Thanks.

Numerous issues going back to day one. What year and mileage do you have. What was the reason given for denying your claim? If you use the magnifying glass icon at the top of your task bar put in different variations of questions including Hard top or hard top issues. Also send a PM to @Ford Motor Company with your vehicles Vin and your dealership information. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me and for your suggestions. I have a 2022 Wildtrak 2-door with 30,694 miles. I did try using the search as you've suggested, but I just can't seem to find that thread. It wasn't that long ago that I read it, but I will try again. As far as the reason for denial, I was told "it's supposed to look that way, and even if they replaced it, it would look the same; the black tops are supposed to look that way." I told him it's not a black top; it's the MIC gray top; and it didn't look like that when I purchased the vehicle and it just started to appear in the last couple of months. He said we still have time and Ford told him to compare mine to another 2-door which he didn't have available. He said he would keep an eye out for one. 😕😒 Anyway, I'm not giving up that easily, and I don't think it's an unreasonable request given the known issues Ford has had with these hard tops. Thanks again for your insight. I'll keep you posted.

It can be super difficult to find threads because of how people title them when they post. Try looking on line for any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) for your VIN

A 60th anniversary edition would be cool, but I hope it is more than just a badge. I would have expected it to be a heritage with some goodies and a special color, but this looks to have round fenders. This could be interesting. Caribbean turquoise would be cool.

I am looking forward to more details too. I've only seen what was on IG 😅 I'm really curious on interiors, for whatever this is.

Hi there. I’d like to assist with your concern. Could you please send us a DM with your VIN and mileage so I can look into this further?

Hey there,
I may just be missing it, but I don't see the "three lines tab". I click on the Forums down arrow and only see "What's New" and "Buy/Sell/Trade" . . .

You two may be talking about the difference between mobile and desktop. This is the post Tim was referencing: https://thebronconation.com/issues-...ic-hardtop-discoloration-t.22193/#post-342460

Nevermind, I did find the section you referred to and read the one about the discoloring of the top. It wasn't the one I was remembering, but I'm still hoping to find it.
