Today, Ford dropped a story on Instagram, featuring a white fender featuring what appears to be a black and red Bronco badge, with a nod to the SUV’s inaugural model year.
Overlaid on the photo is simple text highlighting the iconic vehicle’s long reign, a location, and a date — Silver Lake Sand Dunes, August 1–2, 2025 — plus a countdown to registration opening in 21 days.
If you know, you know. Silver Lake isn’t just another off-road spot, it’s a Michigan gem and a centerpiece of ORV history. This stretch of sand has been a testing ground, a proving ground, and a celebration ground for generations of off-roaders. Since the early 20th century, Silver Lake has drawn thrill seekers and sand lovers alike: By the 1930s, people were already using vehicles to explore the shifting landscape. And even now, Silver Lake State ORV Area remains famous as Michigan’s only sand dune park where you can legally drive your own vehicle right on the dunes.
It’s no wonder Bronco owners have made it their summer tradition to visit as a group and try out the legendary 4x4's capabilities every August.
Let the Speculation Begin
This year looks to be no different, at least on the surface. Members of the
Michigan Bronco Club have had their sights set on
Silver Lake for months now: two days filled with old friends, new builds, and sandy hill climbs. Inside the club, it’s already one of the most anticipated meetups of the year.
But now, with this post from Ford, maybe there’s more fun in store ...
