Yikes. Maybe this is a result of sitting on ice mtn with snow piled up on the hood. At least its an easy fix.

I believe it is to match the accent color of the interior like the grab bars and such.

ok I am kidding. That stinks I bet if you take it to the dealership they make it right.

This doesn't surprise me.. ford seems to have taken the cheap route on the bronco with all I've seen so far. Sucks but hey we live in a throw away world these days.

Yup. I got that on mine too. Only on one screw though. I’m going up to the dealer Saturday for a window issue. Gonna bring that up too. I’m not gonna make a big deal about it. Would like to replace it though.

@Ford Motor Company is that from sitting in the dirt lot aka Ice Mountain?? Shouldn't these last longer than a few months in the weather!

Sounds like they didn’t get the correct screw finish

I had two screws that look like that. Mine only took 10 days from build date to delivery, so it isn't an Ice Mountain thing. The dealership requested new screws from Ford, under warranty. I'm told they can't get the screws alone. They need to get the complete trail sight assembly. Ah, the big corporation bureaucracy...

I took the screws out. Sprayed them with rust remover, hit them with a brass brush, and coated them with Fluid Film. They look good enough until the new ones come in.

I think I would swap those out for a stainless set. Thats the kinda thing you are going to see everyday, and it would drive me crazy

Well, I guess I'll add stainless steel screws to my Bronco "grocery list" as well. Mine's due to arrive next week, so curious to see if I have the same issue.

Same problem but so far the rust has only showed up on the 4 inner heads, the outer ones seem to have a better black coating. Not an Ice Mountain candidate. Blend date was 2/25 with completion listed as 2/27 delivered 3/2.

LMAO, what?! These 'Bronco bolts' and 'Bronco Screws' aren't available separately?! I'm thinking of an opening here for someone to make some SS aftermarkets...

That was my reaction. Seems like sending four pairs of fasteners would be quicker and easier than sending the entire assembly, but that's what the dealership was told.

I like the rust. Gives it an old school Bronco feel.

Agreed. Thinking I’ll be visiting my local ACE Hardware when my bronco arrives.

Just a question. Are you parking in an enclosed garage or space with any harsh chemicals like chlorine?

no, and it wasn’t on ice mountain. I got it the week after it was built.
