Anyone else hoping to be able to add a aftermarket hitch receiver of some type to their base?...

Yes, Class III at least, Class IV preferably...

Been starting to look at various AM companies all I'm ever going to tow is the fishing boat and possibly a small snowmobile trailer

I’m wanting one for my FE 4dr, so if you all come up with a good AM, I need to know to compare it. That said, I’m looking more in the class II/III range which will probably be overkill. Just need to move a 20’ ski boat or 2800lbs camper.

Like you, I opted not to get the tow package. My goal is to find a rear bumper with swing away ride carrier and a receiver attached. I’m not really towing anything heavy, just a basket, maybe a tear drop. But I know there will be options!

If your not looking for the wiring harness, you can get the factory hitch for about $250. They are readily available. Mine took a few days to come in. Using it for a bike rack so no need for lights.
