Hey eveyone.....
Just curious, advance fiberglass was offering hardtop's for the Bronco. They projected that they would start delivery December - January. Has anybody received theirs yet? And if you have, how is it? Was it good quality? Was it worth the $$$ you spent for it? How do you like it so far?

They haven't shipped yet.

Currently they are having supply chain issues (feels like we've heard that before somewhere 😒) related to the rubber seals. It was supposed to arrive in December, but the supplier keeps pushing the date on them.

Did ADV source their rubber gasket from the same supplier Ford uses? 🤔

I’m leaning towards theirs or Anderson composite’s hardtop. I’m a sucker for ADV’s design but Anderson’s seems to be the better deal

Anderson Composites hard-top is supposedly starting to ship, but I haven't seen/heard if that's true.

Not sure what others interest in these hardtops are but I am interested in replacing my Ford OEM top. Because of that, I like the design of the advanced fiberglass top better than Anderson. The 4 piece top allows quite a bit of wind noise to occur, especially at highway speeds. So, I am considering the one piece hardtop.
The way I figure it, when I remove the top, I normally take it all off anyway, so the one piece isn't that big a deal.
You can't reason someone out of a position that they didn't reason themselves into.

Does anyone know if the white hardtops that Ford is offering of the '23 Heritage models are available for purchase for prior models. I originally order the black painted hardtop and then changed to the soft top just so I could get my Bronco with hopes to buy a hard top later. Would love the white!

It is not.

It should be available someday, but Ford still needs to figure out their production issues first. Once they are able to meet the demand on the assembly line we should start seeing them available for purchase as an accessory.

It would be faster to order a new Bronco with a hard top and wait and wait and wait, then it would be to order a dealer installed hard top from Ford.

Maybe. By the time they've caught up with production they will likely be on to the next generation which may not even be ICE. Manufacturers and mod shops like Shelby, Saleen ect rarely offer much support for parts in the rear view they are much more focused on the $$ and flavor of the day. This is essentially a manufacture mod so I would anticipate zero support. The aftermarket will be the way to go in all likelihood in the future be it through Ford's supplier or another. Even if Ford were to offer it you would likely have to use a HE VIN. Easy enough, find a HE for sale online and look at it's VIN.

ADV is "stingy" with updates. It's now been a full year and still no product.

Hope all the people who paid in full a year ago don’t get screwed and find out this was some elaborate fraud, or worse - get their hard tops and find out theyre noisy and leak. I wonder how many of them no longer own their Broncos or traded in for a hard top model since.

I doubt it’s any kind of scam. Supply chain issues are every where. And ADV has been forthcoming about it on their social media and on 6g

Glad he's willing to offer refunds. I read through some of those threads (there's a mess of them!) and there seemed to be some pretty ticked off people who were refused refunds at least initially. This whole things sounds like it should have been billed as a kick starter and not a product. It seems a bit incongruent with those text messages, I had read other excuses made by Adv that they couldn't finish the prototype until they had the right equipment, not that they iterated a bunch of times. Maybe they're having trouble keeping up with all the excuses. My initial take is that there have been way too many of those (excuses), and it sure looks like they've been at the very least irresponsible in managing the project. Nobody had to pay for their Bronco up front - people would have been screaming at Ford. Unfortunately, it seems to be the modern way of doing things to promise one thing knowing you can't deliver. Glad I have an OE hard top. I can't imagine being comfortable through an intense winter waiting for one of these, while driving around in a soft top.

It would be funny if we found out, Ford owned, advanced fiberglass. Then it would all make sense.
