A little tire paint pen goes a long way

I've always loved the look of an all black wheel with white lettering on the tires. That is the quintessential off-road look to me. I went to tire rack and priced out $3,000 worth of BFGoodrich K02s, and some nice simple matte black rims. Then I cried a little, and went and got 40 bucks worth of black spray paint and white tire paint pen.

I think the look is pretty good for the cost, but I still have that other wheelset in my tire rack cart. The thinness of the writing is a little too subtle here for my taste.

Taking the pen to the tires was tedious as hell - it took me 1.5 hours to do just these two tires. I'll do the spare and the other side another day. Also I was extra dumb and did the side that was in the hot Georgia sun. Next time I'll be smarter. Unless I forget 😛

You have a really nice looking Bronco! But, we will have to agree to disagree on the white lettering out on an off road vehicle. The rocks just eat them up. The bead lock rings are working for me. Hiding the rock rash very nicely.

I saw an old late 80's Bronco dressed up like this, with maybe a 4-5" lift. Looked freaking amazing.

Love it. My 1984 Bronco had the white letters outside from the factory. Great idea to add it… looks great.

I think those look great! I too am a fan of the old school white lettering particularly on muscle cars. I would buy white lettered Good year Goodyears in a heartbeat.

Somehow I missed you have a two door Oxford White too. Nice way to test out the look you wanted for way cheaper, AND you did a great job staying on the lines -- here's to getting the other three done 😅

I had a 1984 too and it had the white letters tires, my next suv after that a few years later was a 2001 escape 4x4 and I added the white letters.
So I really like the look @magicrobots

I'm gonna have to disagree and say that this isn't too subtle, it's just right. I'm going to stick with blackwalls on mine because I'm going the Heritage route with my white weels, but this combo works great for your setup.
