A funny thing happened to by Bronco Nation grill badge while I was away

After a trip (not with the Bronco), I returned home, and like everyone else here (or it may just be me), I paused to admire my Bronco in the driveway. While looking at the front grill, I noticed my Bronco Nation grill badge reflecting unusually brightly. After closer inspection, I realized all the black color was gone and what remains is a shining, polished grill badge! :-)

Has this happened to anyone else?

At first, I was thinking of ways to get the black back on, but this polished look is starting to look good. :-)

Ah... You specifically ordered the Bronco Nation "Watercolor Edition" badge. Good until your first heavy rain or car wash, results may vary. :geek:

I'm not sure what caused the color to seemingly disappear. No carwashes or harsh cleaning chemicals. Perhaps this Georgia sunshine is much more dangerous than I have been led to believe. :p

Maybe it was made with the same material as the license plate frames.

Same thing happened to my badge. it was black before we did some Crawling at Wheeling for a cause at Katemcy after the trail it was shinny gold. I thought it was because the trails are that hard it scared the color off the badge. LOL
I was going to take the opportunity to color match it but it looks really close to the Desert Sand anyway so I am keeping it.
If you look close you can see it.

Mine just did the same thing last weekend, apparently I somehow managed to scare most of the enamel off. Looks cool in silver but it’s so damn shiny I’m worried it will blind other drivers may have to remove it this weekend 😥
