I love manual transmissions and got the 7-speed on my order, but what is the shift pattern? Standard 1-7, with R where? R on bottom R?

really!!?? thank you! very helpful - with R on Top L, C=Crawl bottom L, after that a standard 6 pattern. I was curious (and I think the dealers didn't know either - this pattern is NOT what they said it woiuld be)

Thanks for sharing.

Speculation that there is a gate lock to prevent going into C or R. Hope that is true. Last Manual I drove was a standard 5 speed and would always throw to left and up to get to first.

I’m getting the MT too. I love hearing about others doing the same. I just hope enough of us take the MT option for Ford to keep it as an option for longer than a year or two!

I originally had the 2.7L Auto, but switched to the 2.3L Manual early March.

After seeing the 60% 2.7L number glad I went with 2.3L. Might push my build up since 2.7L is a constraint and a high demand.

For manual transmissions with reverse in top left of the pattern, like the old Top-Loader 4 speeds, traditionally you must push down on the shifter to bypass a gate in order to move the lever that far left. There's no lift ring on the shifter, so I'd imagine it's still the same with this new transmission.

2.3t manual from the start!

Always wanted a manual Jeep, but having built a 2.3t in my old Mustang, glad I didn't make a move prior and that the Gladiator came out much later on. After seeing this '68 for sale, even more excited for it.

My only disappointment is that the 7-speed wasn't available with the Sasquatch package!!!

I thought since they announced mansquatch it was always a MY22 option, never a late delivery MY21. Maybe I just wasn’t paying attention late last year?

It took me a while to figure out what Jeepers were talking about when they talked about a Ruby. They meant a Rubicon, I thought they were talking about an exotic dancer.

All right, I guess I have to concede that it is called that. But never by me.
