2023 Loaded Wildtrak vs Bronco Raptor = $ 28,000.00.

I know this has been covered in some articles and certain videos, and I know I am probably going to get harshly criticized for going down this road, but each day I own my 2023 bronco Wildtrak I am repeatedly asking myself, is the bronco raptor really worth $ 30,000.00 more without a dealer markup ?

I currently own a F 150 37 package raptor, and I love the truck, but since the bronco Wildtrak has arrived, which was 10 days ago I have only driven the F 150 once, and that was because I needed to utilize the back bed. And I have spent alot of time in 4 F 150 raptors and it has been my favorite all around vehicle/ daily driver. Although other than the bronco not having a truck bed, I am finding the bronco to be a much more enjoyable daily driver. And not just because of size difference and maneuverability. The only 2 issues I have with the bronco is wind noise at highway speeds and no truck bed. Which as far the lack of truck bed goes you can always buy a cargo carrier.

Back to the raptor vs. Wildtrak. In ten days I have put 560 miles on the Wildtrak and I have really enjoyed every minute. I have not owned a bronco raptor, but I have sat in 2 and seen a few of them in real life. Yes with the bronco raptor I know the engine is different, the suspension is different, the frame is wider, and it has 37 inch tires but the 2023 Wildtrak with the hoss fox suspension, the upgraded steering rack, the added rear sway bar, and the improved tie rods with 35 inch tires I am really questioning the $ 28,000.00 price difference. Thus far 90 percent of my driving time has been pavement , but when I have been on gravel I am very impressed with the suspension and the highway ride is close to my F 150 Raptor.

After actually owning a sasq. Wildtrak for only 10 days I am actually questioning which one I like the looks of better ? Wildtrak or Raptor. I had a raptor on order last winter and it got totaled due to the tractor trailer hauler getting into a accident in bad weather, but I have another raptor on order now. I decided to get grab the Wildtrak because my regional manager did not know if the bronco raptor replacement would get built in 2023 or 2024. And although my dealer told me that I am price protected thru the dealership, they will still have to fight with ford about this especially if it becomes a 2024 build.

I honestly feel that other than the Horsepower difference, the way the new Wildtrak is built I really think it's a very hard and compelling decision. I will say this I've already had 4 people, 2 dealerships and 2 car people say that for a $ 30,000.00 spread the Wildtrak is the way to go, especially with me living on the east coast.

Just curious to hear members opinions.

I'd only say yes if the raptor was a straight v8. In the end I this the fully loaded wildtrak is the way to go.

The Raptor is awesome but really my WT is all I need. I'd never use the Raptor to its ability so why pay the extra $$. With the HOSS 3.0 and other upgrades the WT is pretty awesome as well.

Go Wildtrack and spend a little money upgrading anything you want upgraded. Put a Ford performance tuner, Borla Exhaust, and a good intake for the power boost. I respect the Raptor but can't get past the looks and width. I just can't make myself like the half baby pools screwed to the fenders. Raptor is without a doubt a beast out of the box but so is a Wildtrack, especially with a few aftermarket upgrades. Just my opinion, so value it to what you paid for it. Good Luck!

I'd love to have a Braptor. No shit. But I love my LUX HOSS 3.0 Wildtrak.

The more I drive my Wildtrak, the more I am starting to feel that way . You can do a lot with $ 10,000.00 in mods and save yourself $ 20,000.00.

My f 150 raptor is code orange and I absolutely love the truck. Although in the case of the bronco raptor vs. the 2023 Wildtrak I just don’t know if $ 30,000.00 additional is warranted.

I will say this, and it may not be popular but as 1 dealer told me , the 2023 Wildtrak is basically the equivalent of the base 35 package in the f 150 raptor, but in the bronco world.

Hey WindsheepGS4,

Since you asked for it, let me give you my opinion. What is the Raptor really built for? Bottom line, it is designed and built for high speed desert running. Yes it is capable to do rock crawling, but it's width eliminates it from most of the iconic 4x4 trails around North America. If you believe that you are going to be doing a lot of high speed desert running, by all means, get the Raptor.
However, as you live on the East Coast, I don't see you doing a lot of this type of driving. With your WT, you have a much more versatile vehicle, that with it's narrower width, increased maneuverability, and it's true all round 4x4 chops, provides you with a truck that is much better suited to the existing trails around your area.
As a plus, with the 30K you are saving by not purchasing the Raptor, you can create a very unique, unbelievably capable WT, that will reflect your ideas and driving wants.
Save you money, drive a very personalized WT, and leave the Raptor owners to take up two parking stalls in the malls across America.
Just saying...

I changed by order from a Raptor to a Wildtrak because I, like you, drive 90% on-road. The Raptor is a full 10" wider than a Wildtrak (or other trim) and my commute takes me through narrow downtown roads daily.

Trails in my area are also narrow and I didn't want to scratch up the more expensive Raptor with trail pin stripping.

Yep. Everything you just said applies to me as well. I love raptors, but in my honest opinion, the new Wildtrak really closed the gap and makes you think about a $ 30,000.00 up charge.

In my opinion there is more of a spread between a f 150 raptor and say a fully loaded platinum f 150, than a bronco raptor and a Wildtrak other than the engine = 2.7 vs. 3.0.

I bought a Sasquatch Outer Banks, and in spec’ing a similar Wildtrak (Lux, MIC, etc), the price difference is about $4500K currently… the only difference I see is the HOSS 3.0 (with Fox) and the stab bar disconnect…

Of course the price of my rig has increased 9.3% since I took delivery in January…

I thought only Badlands had stay-bar-disconnect. With the exception of Raptor of course.

The 2023 Wildtrak does have a rear sway bar, it just doesn’t disconnect like the badlands.
