Ha, no this is a good spot to discuss. I don't have Ford insight on this, but Ford Authority has only been off once that I've seen, and only partially, and based on their spy shots, they get some similar tips. So I felt comfortable putting it in the news page.

Or even better... just add a link to this post. @Laura usually has a "talk about this in the forums!" but don't see it for that news piece.

Also, typically when Ford does these type of changes it doesn't impact existing retail orders. If it does impact retail orders Ford will instruct dealers to call their customers. So if anyone gets a call/email from their dealer about this, let us know. 😉

I suppose I should make sure I'm awake and post a reply in the proper discussion area. I'll just copy and paste what I posted on Laura's news post.

I have a theory as to why this is happening and it may apply to other components also.

The G6 Ranger, which is going to be built on the Bronco's platform, is probably encountering possible commodity constraints on parts and or components that they will share.

I realize the G6 Ranger for North America hasn't 'officially' been announced or revealed, but you only have to look at the Global version and it's trims and what's offered on them else where.
What's been confirmed so far are XLT, Wildtrak and Raptor trims, for NA, with the Wildtrak and Raptor being upper trim levels with more package options (B&O sound system for example).

With commodities still having supply and/or shipping issues, I can see them doing some juggling to make sure the Ranger doesn't have as a messed up launch as the Bronco did.

I don't think this is the end of things like this.
If Ford intends to stick the course with G6 Ranger production starting in May those commodities that are or will be common across the Ranger and Bronco could be affected.

Mine has the sub but I don’t think is going to help much. The bronco was built on 12/1/22. As of today it’s still not shipped. 😭
