Out of curiosity I built the new 2024 base model (Big Bend) vs my 2022 Basesquatch 2 door as close as it could build it. Long story short I only got the 4 cylinder model for 10k more. And vinyl seats. Ugh. Here where 100 degree temps are normal in summer that is a deal breaker. I think Ford knew what a great deal the V-6 Basesquatch was and went to great lengths to kill it. Only improvement I saw that came standard was the 12" display. Not worth 10k. JMO. Any other Basesquatch owners agree? Btw I got and installed the leather steering wheel for $350, the only thing I really wanted from the next model up.

I thought the Base Bronco was a fantastic deal!!

Although after talking to the sales manager at my dealership I understand why it was discontinued. He said that people who ordered a Base Bronco knew exactly what they wanted, and thought it was a fantastic vehicle. But the few Base Broncos they got in as stock orders were difficult to sell at a time when other Bronco trims were flying off of the lot.

It's a great open for a new vehicle launch (or relaunch, in this case), as it provides a lower-cost entry-level trim that people can purchase. But as time goes on the Base Bronco would have to compete with used Broncos already on dealer lots. Which effectively means the Base Bronco sales would decrease as time goes on and more used Broncos become available. So I understand the decision, it makes perfect sense. But for the few Base Bronco fans out there, it's kind of a bummer.

Two model years later, things change based on market preferences apparently.

So I Ordered a 2021 Base Squatch, V6, Mod pumper, switches and it arrived in Feb of 2023. Marked it was still hot and in AZ new buyer pay no sales tax on pvt party sales. Flipped it and just bought new 2023- late Dec build on the east coast for 7500 behind sticker. BD Squatch, V6 Bumper, Mid Pkg. Timing was everything. I was price protected back to 2021. It is at least 10K more for the same rig 3 years later. I like where I am on my BD.
