After many hours of researching running boards I called my dealer to get OEM boards.Picked up Wednesday in a 7'× 1.5×1.5' heavy box. $595.00 with Ford accessory part number on web.
Go home and 2 page instruction sheet shows remove existing M10-10 bolts. But no bolts were in threads per Ford instruction.
Next compared the front (clear plastic wrapped l) bracket already bolted th boards and was almost flat , very small apex say 5°. Went under Base Bronco and the inside point two thread holes were on a 30° or so curve. The flatish bracket would not bolt to undercarriage frame. Bummer. Returned to dealer.
Checked two other dealers. One very large examined boards installed at factory on Higher end Bronco model and agreed the 2021 flatish front bracket was not on the 2022 but that front bracket was rounded that he reported. A second dealer part stated his distributor catalog only showed 2021 and was not updated. Call FORD accessory who looked up sub assembly and say 2021 Bronco only, but gave me part number for six missing from the factory M10-10 bolts that were to instalked at MAP to prevent road crap damage to opem thread hokes.
Be carefull what your dealer say. The Bronco team really dont understand the assembly operations of a Bronco. They should be required to actually work on the assembky lines to see how a BRONCO built Wild is put together.
Any one having issues putting rock rails or boards on 2022 Bronco?
On last point the rear inside tail gate door now has two circles of ribbitts painted over , what appears to be reinforcement of spare tire bracket. Only one was noted in videos when tables were installed on 2021 Bronco. This point appears to support that MAP makes production changes to improve BRONCO but marketing team is uninformed!
