2021 Bronco tinted windows.

Pretty sure the base Bronc has no tint whatsoever

I believe this is true. I do plan on tinting my front windows as well to match if its not too dark since my state has limits on how dark the front ones can be. I get migraines and the tint helps some.

I'm thinking of doing 90% front windshield and doors, and like 20% rear, hopefully the cops won't notice or be drawn to the back

Base has no tint from factory. I did a 10% or 15% ceramic (can’t recall) on all side glass (2 dr) and rear. I did nothing on windshield. Powder coating steel is black and going with aggressive tread on beefier tire to complete it for now.

The dealership added 30% to the rears on my FE along with the 30% for the fronts. Makes the rear doors and cargo area almost black from outside, and very nice inside. Being in TX, I had IR/UV blocking ceramic tint used, and also added 100% IR/UV added to the windshield. Amazing difference in heat transmission, in direct sunlight. There is a slight chroma when wearing polarized sunglasses. But, that is an acceptable tradeoff for the lower interior heat buildup.

And what the sun will do to interior surfaces. Leather and vinyl are much better off if they are protected.

Thanks, will be a sharp look when those steelies come back next week matching the windows and a manlier tire filling out the wheel wells. I absolute love the plainness of the badge-less base models. It's been a long time since I had any tint on the front window of my daily driver, likely close to 20 years. I was just out and about in town a few minutes ago. It's not the usual August sunshine today, we at least have some clouds in sight. I realized that I wasn't even wearing my shades (and I'm an avid shade guy...shade > sunlight for 2 ft > shade = I have them on) so I know that the ceramic keeps a ton of light out while being much easier to see out expect.

Now, with Ford's announcement about replacing tops due to potential future damage from water and humidity (I'm in MS...we have less days below 95% humidity than days above that number in a calendar year) which mine will be in constantly. How will they handle folks who have invested $ into essentially a dead end piece? I went out to check for my receipt, which I normally don't keep up with to make sure it was 1. there and 2. dated. Will be interesting to see how they manage that, seeing as it wasn't the cheapest thing I've done on a vehicle.

Edit to answer your question I ignored: Yes will powder coat them black. Actually breaking them down tomorrow and taking to shop in hopes they are back early next week. I love the steelies, but never understood why the silver. If I were to buy wheels, I would simply get bigger black wheel in similar style, since I like the plain retro look of steelies. Buying 5 new wheels would be upwards of a grand, while the powder-coated satin black finish will only be 400.

Good point about the replacement top and the investment in window tinting. I bought my tint through the dealer, so they pretty much have to bill that back to Ford, I am assuming. All purchased on the same invoice. Have to make sure to call that out when the new top is installed....

Does anyone know what % the tint is on the hard top backs? I'm thinking it's like 50% darkness but not sure. Seems like it's just lightly tinted

What did they charge to do your 2dr in Ceramic? My Rubi was like $800 but I also did the very slight tint on the windscreen for heat in AZ. Did an amazing job. Hoping the price has come down some.

Haha. That is awesome. I don't really remember him at all but when I was into wrestling as a kid, it was more in the mid to late 70s.

Haha. That is awesome. I don't really remember him at all but when I was into wrestling as a kid, it was more in the mid to late 70s.

He was a heel. He had a French Canadian theme. Oddly enough, he apparently had some sort of mob-ish ties and died “unexpectedly”. I didn’t know any of that until I watched Inside the Ring. Anyways, that’s it.

I'm planning on having my front windows tinted the same shade as the rears. It's probably darker than legal but we'll give it a try.
I believe my dealership does them for $50 so I will have it done before I pick it up.

$50 for tint is dirt cheap. In AZ I need Ceramic for the heat. Does a fantastic job.
