2021 BRONCO GETS SOME COWL LIGHT MOUNTS BY BODYGUARD. THEY'RE BETTER THAN WE THOUGHT

Is the path you’re going down a little too dark for your headlights to light up? Can’t see the sides of a trail well enough? We got you! KC Lights to the rescue!

These 6” diameter orbs glow bright and will light up your world! Literally. These are spotlights but they come in flood lights should you need MORE lights than this. The difference between spotlights and floodlights are - spotlights shoot out further forward but not as wide, whereas flood lights shoot out wider but not as far forward. So make sure when shopping for lights, you choose the ones that fit your needs the best. Although these lights are not currently hooked up because we are waiting for switches to arrive, I have used KC lights in the past. The functionality and durability from past experiences have set my decision on them now for the Bronco Big Bend build.

Good thing the 2021 Ford Bronco comes accessory ready! We ordered the rugged BODYGUARD mounting plates for light pods. We were not sure how we were going to like the Bodyguard mount plate so we came up with a Plan B. We created a template out of poster board to make ready to transfer to metal should we needed to fabricate mounts. After installing the bracket and mount together, we liked just how sturdy and low profile the Bracket actually is.

However, the Bodyguard mount plates work very well and look good! Now the weirdest part of this whole thing is the two hex head screws on the bronco where the mount plate will sit. They are literally the bolts are SAME sized threads but the heads and the hex holes are 2 different sizes. 1 is a 25 n 1 is 27. Make sure u have 2 tips 1 of each size. The Bronco Tool Kit that comes with the vehicle does have those sockets but we chose to leave those be. This is due to the possibility of losing the sockets of never putting it back.

We will wire the lights up in a later video once we figure out the Logistics of where to run the wiring for them & where to put the switches.
