I have a 2022 Badlands 2 Door with hardtop. I have an Uptop roof rack installed at the factory mounting points. I have 16k miles on the Bronco. At about 12k miles my top began squeaking badly. I have adjusted the rack a few times trying to see if it’s the weight of the rack. I don’t have much weight on the rack and it is aluminum. I am no where near the weight limit of the top. I have taken it to my local dealership and their solution is to take it to their body shop and apply lubrication to the top sections. Seems like a snake oil solution. Has anyone experienced a squeaky top? My top seems to be delaminating but the dealership says it’s not.

TSBs on the MIC top involve adjusting the front panels and lubing the pins and seals. It worked for my top.

This worked for me . Ordered a tube of Krytox and did it myself. This was a squeaking noticibly coming from the front panels.

The roof on my Bronco was making a popping sound. I took it do the dealership for a warranty adjustment. The repair order stated fixed per TSB including latch adjustment and lubrication of pins/seals.

The tailgate on my Bronco just in the past few months began making clicking sounds. I isolated the noise to the tailgate window by driving with the window open. I lubed the entire tailgate weather seal and the hard rubber seal on the window. It solved the noise issue.

Lubing seals is not a snake oil solution; it is simply maintenance for an ORV that has a multiple panel removable roof.

Thanks for the info. Based on what the dealership told me it was more than lubing pins and seals. The squeak in my roof seems to be coming from the rear top edges under where the rear rack mounts are. Could be my rear window seal. . I’ll see what the body shop does and if that fixes it. Good point on routine seal maintenance.
