2.3L performance kit

Saw that late last week on Lethal Performance’s website.

Waiting for some Dyno results myself… but I’m personally interesting in rev matching for the manual trans. Heel/toe downshifting is possible in the Bronco but it sure ain’t comfortable.

Also requires premium fuel, for those interested. Right now premium is a a good $1.20/gal more than 87 octane in my area, so that’s kind of a tough pill to swallow.

My local Ford Tuner mentioned it, they're gonna do their own custom tunes off it I think they said.

I'm just waiting Mishimoto's high intercooler and charge pipes, plus a downpipe, before I consider it

Yes saw that sweet update last week. Finally. Looking forward to the Ford tune someday, installed by Ford, on our 2.3 BL MT. If anyone has their Ford dealer install the Ford tune on the 2.3 please share any details and changes in your driving experience here with the community.

If you're looking for better rev matching in the MT also try our throttle controller from Sprint Booster. Sprint booster has been installed on our bronco for over a year now and loving every second. Most cars you have to bend the pedals around to accommodate heel /toe

It looks like it is not available yet, just a wait list. I don’t think they will make a lot of this kits.

The lethal performance one is significantly cheaper BUT may create warranty issues.

That’s a much better price and available now.

Has anyone tried AFe Scorcher? Looks like the same HP gains as the FPP kit.

You are absolutely correct. Same part number and everything.

I called my dealer today and ordered the ford performance tune for my 2.3 with manual. I am going to use some of my 262,000 FordPass rewards for it. Interested in the power obviously but I think the rev match will be nice too.

The best performance mod for the 2.3 is the 2.7. Spend the money its worth it.

Reading the other 2.7 performance kit thread here in BN, there is talk that the dealer has to install the kit so that the Ford will still honor your warranty. Reading the installation instructions, it's basically downloading the software to ProCal and then installing it to the Bronco via the OBD2 port. Kinda like Accessport tune in a way.
So my question is, if you buy the kit from Letha Performance and install it yourself, then it is not under warranty anymore from Ford???

Because Ford want the money and control. Just like the gov't.

Dealers would like you to believe this because they want the money..... It would be like saying you have to get your oil change at dealers if you don't want to void your warranty, it ain't true. But with that said if you incorrectly install the tune they could void the warranty, just like if you improperly install an oil filter and it fails they can blame you
