$1900 Bronco delivery charge. What? The price for delivery is getting outrageous.

It appears Ford Motor Company figured out how to recover some money from all the red ink it is bleeding on those electric vehicles that nobody wants. $1900 delivery charge - outrageous, right along with all the price increases the past year along with all the other price increases since the introduction. Shipping costs for your Bronco is up a little over 25% since the introduction back during 2021!!!

Additionally, the customer service operators or service reps that take the calls at 800/392-3673 all seem to be in the Philippines and want to discuss your extended warranty. I called the other day about an issue with the price protection policy not being honored and after three calls
and a conversation with a representative I was finally transferred to someone in marketing. That was a fruitless conversation if I have ever had one. While Ford offers price protection, the rep told me I had to discuss it with my dealer and were of no help. I told the service representative that I have had this discussion with my dealer and they will not honor the price increases this past Feb., March and April. (My Bronco was re-ordered during Jan 2023 after I accepted the private offer to change my order from a Wildtrak to a Badlands.)

Have you had any big item shipped lately ? It's not just Ford. I agree with all the price increases though. I'm glad I did get my 23 Badlands with price protection or I would not have one at todays prices.

If you hired a car carrier to transport a vehicle for you it’s not going to be much less depending on where you live. Everything costs more, so who’s surprised?

Open your own car mfg. factory and see what you need to charge. I guess you did not take an economics class in college?

Typical, just roll over and take it. Its all artificial, there are no real cost increases. You can blame it on the "I did that" guy.

It's essentially considered shop supplies. It's not part of the MSRP, it's the cost of transporting it to your dealer.

All shipping (transportation) costs have gone up, and fuel costs have gone up. Ford contracts the shipping they don't do it themselves. If it's like any other business, they add overhead costs and profit to the base cost. That's how business works. Vehicle shipping costs vary with distance and whether the vehicle is in an open carrier or enclosed. Shipping costs can be from 60 cents a mile to $1.70 a mile. The average truck shipping cost for all manufacturers is about $1800 when averaging all costs throughout the United States.

FYI: Ford has no control and makes nothing from shipping. Unions control the shipping....

It can be really disappointing, especially when you've been a loyal customer to a brand like Ford. And I agree, having a smooth customer service experience is super important. Have you considered looking into other car shipping services? I found this website (https://www.a1autotransport.com/florida-fl-car-shipping/) that might be worth checking out. Just a suggestion to update the thread.

I had noooo clue you could use a company to do this.

I just worry about when something goes absolutely wrong … wonder how that works ?

Oil change was $48 and change, now it's $62 and change. Remember that next year.

Sorry, but you can not arrange your own shipping from the manufacturing plant. There were people that were less than 50 miles from the MAP that were waiting a very long time to get there Bronco shipped to them. Unfortunately everyone is at the mercy of the contracted transport company.

This kinda reminds me of a sticker I saw, not too long ago that said “I did that!”. When a non skill labor is now cost half of what a skilled worker makes, you will see the price of everything go up. JS
