I am looking to install a 1500 or 3000 watt power inverter in the rear of the Bronco. I am looking for convenient access to power for tools at a job site, and perhaps for use while camping.

I am just curious if any other folks have installed one of these devices and what challenges or issues you ran into. Currently I am still evaluating the physical size of the various brands because I want it to fit above the storage tray on the passenger side just inside the tailgate. In addition, I am looking for one that outputs a pure sine wave, as opposed to a modified sine wave to ensure the broadest compatibility for anything I might want to plug in.
Because of the potential power draw, I am planning to run a dedicated heavy gauge circuit direct to the battery with a switched relay connected to one of the aux switches.

I am hopeful that I can learn from others experience installing this kind of accessory and minimize any pitfalls. Thoughts?
You can't reason someone out of a position that they didn't reason themselves into.
