After reading all of everyone’s ideas on using the Aux switches and wiring and the amount of amps available for each switch it got me thinking about the outlet that is included in some packages. 110v/400w is equal to appx 3.5 amps, correct? What are you all thinking about for actual uses of this outlet?

3.5 amps seems like very light wiring/power for a fridge/freezer. Seems you'd get much better performance by wiring it directly to the battery, or aux switch with higher amperage.

I thought the same thing but after doing some research, the majority of the ones I see are only pulling around an amp when running on a/c and about 4-5amps on d/c. Realistically though, I would want to wire a fridge in the back and use an aux switch too. It just seems like a missed opportunity to not put a little more power there but I guess Bronco owners are lucky, my brother has a 392 and it’s 110v/150w.

12V / 150 watt is still 13 amps, which should be plenty to power the fridge/freezer. I guess it depends on the power requirement of the fridge/freezer, but a 12V system at 150 watts should be fine.

Yeah I think d/c would be the way to go for the fridge for sure.

I just looked at the prices of an ARB fridge, bwahahahaha!!!!! I can buy two lifetimes of ice, well I can buy 11,638 lbs of ice, for the price of one of those!

I don't know what the hero/aux switches are, power-wise, in the Bronco, but Jeep has 15 amp, 10 amp and 40 amp wiring run into the cab and to the aux switches. 40 amp should take care of just about anything you "need".

Edited to add: I actually did the math and updated the amount of ice I could buy for the price of an ARB fridge.

Right?!? They are proud of just about everything you may need.
Bronco are 25, 15, 10, 5, 5, and 5 I believe. Should take care of just about anything. I’m still not sure what you could actually use as far as the 110 outlet goes. I mean, I’m not trying to run a 1200w microwave or anything like that but 3.5amps is kind of limiting. I have an electric impact that would be nice to be able to use there but it pulls around 6-7amps. I guess I’ll have to break down and buy all battery operated tools and then I can just charge my batteries with the outlet.

Actually, I was looking at exactly that, battery powered tools. I'm considering a Dewalt chainsaw, 40 volt if I remember right, since I've already got the impact wrench and drill. I just want to be able to make sure I've always got a second battery charged.

My Ford Super Duty has pretty low amperage switches, but they work for everything I need (a couple fog / driving lights up front). I'll have to see how many amps an espresso machine pulls, or maybe a blender for margaritas at the end of the trail...just kidding.

Ninja makes a 400w blender. Might want to bring crushed ice to put in there though. It may not break up the big chunks. Haha.
