@ResidualGenius you are spot on. It’s kind of nice that many more people are being notified of their builds, not me or you, but it’s happening! As to service to our country, I appreciate all who serve this great country and most of all those who serve in the military and first responders. Not down playing or minimizing anyone else so forgive me here. There are many different ways to serve and they all are important and a blessing. I do however want to put this out there for all to contemplate: those that serve in the Military, in Law Enforcement, in Fire/EMS, in Medicine, are asked to see and do things that no one should have to. In particular the Military above all else see and do things that few can fathom. They are asked to hold back the tide that encroaches upon our shore from enemies of other lands. Law enforcement are asked to do a similar, yet different task. We are asked to uphold the laws of the land, to uphold the Constitution of The United States of America, from threats both foreign and domestic. We are the thin blue line that walk the streets fending off chaos and the breakdown of our society. There are those who stand and scream of the injustice and of systemic racism. But having walked those streets for 26 years I know this. While all people of all races have fear and biases within them, for most those things do not define who they are or what they stand for. Most people are able to put those things aside and grow as a person as they age and mature. So know this, and don’t ever forget, 244 years ago life was breathed into this country in the form of the Declaration of Independence and followed later by the Constitution. These are living documents that guide and shape us as a society. There are those amongst us that would do away with those and everything good about this country. They seek to separate and divide rather than join and build. As imperfect as this country is, it is better than any other and the best there has ever been. Never forget where we came from, how far we have come or how far we have to go. So this weekend go outside, meet and greet your neighbors and friends and enjoy everything Independence has to offer. There is a reason that billions of people dream of coming here and why there are millions who would rather erase us from the worlds memory. It’s called Freedom.
And just so you know, after 26 years and four days, I made it! On to my next chapter! Where’s my Bronco!?
