I have a first edition on order but getting the black interior and at the time I thought I was getting the black painted top. Not to be the case now for the black painted top. I was wondering how they come up with the limited edition number they put on the plaque in the Bronco. Is it based off production date or based off reservation number? Also would like to know if anyone out there intends on flipping their first edition for profit. What do you think the market out their would pay? I don't plan on flipping it but it has crossed my mind due to all the manufacturing issues that keep popping up every few weeks. If I didn't have a first edition I would have probably waited for the warthog version. You also hear people say never buy the first model year of something. Let them get all the bugs corrected and buy the second year version. Any truth to that?

I agree about the “possibility” first model year problems on vehicles.
This will be a first for me as well to purchase a “first” year production vehicle.
I guess I look at it as that’s what
Recalls and Warranty’s are for.
I’m likely to trade it in, in a few years...

Well there may be some truth to the first model year having problems but not always. I have bought the first year of the Escape in 2001 and the first year of the totally redone Malibu in 2008, both were some of the best cars I have ever owned. Now I also bought the new redesigned Grand Am back in 1992 and that thing spent more time at the dealership than I drove it. But I think with all of the testing they are putting the Bronco through I hope they will have the bugs worked out before it is released. Heck even FEs are practically going to be the second model year before they are sold.
