I spent most of a week in Buena Vista and had a blast. Like usual, I spent more time working on rigs than riding trails, but that is part of the fun for me. I stopped by the BN booth a couple of times (thanks for dinner!) and did a couple of quick walk-throughs of the vendors and vehicles. I drove my 67 part of the way Chinaman Gulch to some photos of one of the trail rides, started Mosquito Pass as tailgunner (but ended up towing another Bronco out). Helped diagnose and swap out a couple of fuel pumps and just generally hung out with my friends. Need to meet more of you guys! Here is some of the action from BV last week:
The RTI ramp at the fairgrounds was a hit
After hitting the ramp earlier in the day, Blake took his sway bars off to illustrate the difference they can make. A set of lockers and he would have been up even higher!
Blake made it there after experiencing a fuel pump failure at the start of Mosquito Pass. A road trip to Leadville to pick up a pump and a tow to the campground
and he was good as new. If there was ever a place to experience a no-start, the trail head is a good place!
Fuel pump failures were a thing. We had 3 that I know of on the same day.
Kris and Moriah got hitched on the trail and then created chaos during the blindfolded barrel racing! He will be bringing some new barrels next year LOL!
All the generations were represented at Super Cel!
Ken found a antique bicycle in case his fuel pump died
Brothers Ryan and Scott had both a 95 and 79 Broncos on the trail. Here is the 79 coming down from St Elmo. Their 95 had a fuel pump failure as well!
Super bummed I can't remember this family's names. I will edit it. They were great to be on the trail with!
My 67 didn't have any issues luckily. I even got my daughter to go on one ride with me!
