Hello everyone! I'm new here, and loving the friendly vibes in the community so far!

Late to the Bronco game, just placed an order for a cactus gray Outer Banks big Bronco at a local dealership in Delaware. I'll be happy if it can get scheduled for build in the first half of 2022 lol.

Here are my options selected:
  • Soft top - because I was told that the hard top may delay my production. But will definitely order the hard top later on. [UPDATE] MIC Hardtop - because we don't want to pay thousands extra for it later on, and we are ok with waiting a bit longer. Thanks for all the suggestions!
  • High Package (313A) - because wife wants the 12-inch screen
  • Front Bumper - Ford Performance Heavy-Duty Modular
  • Keyless Entry Keypad
  • Leather-Trimmed/Vinyl Seats – Dark Space Gray With Navy Pier
  • Auxiliary Switches in Overhead Console with Front Map Light
  • Storage Bag – 4-Door (for On-Vehicle Storage)
  • Floor Liners – Front and Rear without Carpet Mats
  • Cargo Area Protector
Hopefully my options won't cause any delays.

I like the contrasting colors and black wheels of the other trim levels though, so likely going to mod/replace some parts (wheels, fender flares, mirrors, etc.) later on.

2/2 UPDATE

Just heard from the dealer that my Bronco has been assigned a build week of 2/14. As I learn more, I'll share future updates in this thread in the Ordering and Delivery forum.

The high package may be an issue in addition to the 2.7l engine if you choose that but I don't recognize any other constraints. Good luck.

Welcome to BN!! If you want a MIC top go for it, otherwise stay with softie but know it'll be roughly $4000+ to get one AM in a couple of years. I am sticking to my MIC and already talked to BesTop to get a soft next Spring/Summer for a fraction of doing it the other way.

Thank you! My dealer told me that I could still order the Ford MIC top later on at the same price, so I don't need to risk having the build delayed... not sure if you or others know more about the OEM MIC top though.

Yea, that's not gonna happen at build pricing. They won't be available from Ford until at least 2023 and yes the rumored cost will be $4,000+ since you will have to cover the freight as well.

Welcome to the Bronco Nation.

Unfortunately, I believe your dealership is snow balling you on the price of the MIC top. Honestly.....they do not know what the cost will be.

Look at it this way. Its $695 to upgrade to the MIC from a soft top. A soft top is roughly $2,400. Now add the cost of shipping the MIC top and you are roughly $4,000.

The key to getting a bronco sooner is dealership allocations. You need to know how many bronco orders they have and where you are in line.

Make sure you get a written MSRP guarantee, or you may be charged more at time of delivery.

Welcome! I ordered my Bronco the way I wanted it, which means I’m going to have to wait a LONG time for it to get built, but it will be worth it to me. Some BN residents tore me a new one when I expressed interest in a soft top for the 2-door, but it was only because I didn’t know that there wasn’t a factory original soft top available for the 2-door at the time. I think it’s because everyone assumes everyone is going for the 4-door, which is available with either top. Now I’m up to speed, so to speak. You’ll be fine here so long as you’ve got a thick skin and the people in the room are in the mood to be patient with questions they’ve grown weary of answering.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

I expect to wait another 6 months for my 2dr manual Base (reservation 10-20-20) but my neighbor ordered (no reservation) a 4dr soft top Big Bend auto in September and received it this past Saturday. Moral of the story is 4dr soft tops with limited accessories and/or without Lux packages have a very favorable chance of getting built.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and tips.

I just contacted my dealer to try to switch back to the MIC hardtop instead. We'd rather wait a big longer than having to pay $3000+ for a hardtop later.

One big thing you can do for yourself is…. Don’t count on anything the “dealers says “. Also if anything is important to you get it in writing from the dealer. Good luck.

Solid call. Hopefully the backlog of older orders starts to clear up and they move on down the list! And if I haven’t said it, welcome to the BN!

My dealer just confirmed the updated build specs and price as I requested.

Does anyone know whether ford will send me an email to confirm my updated options?

They should but my last conversion to order switching to a MY 22 took almost three weeks to get. Make sure to get a printed and signed build sheet from your dealership.

Congrats and welcome. I ordered my WT in 7/21 and decided with the HT instead of the soft top, because of looks and I feel the hard top will be expensive to buy separately. I just read that dropping the Hard Top, Paint Protection, and tow package will speed up your Bronco. Time to wait like the rest :)
