Just a notation
One pic is indoor
The other is outdoor
Hmmm? Not certain but they both have that outer kinda 1/2" ring.
Led pic looks like its clear.
Halogen looks red'ish/pink,
but that maybe the difference in the light bleeding the red inner hew into it?
Dont know.
But if the outside on the halogen is also clear....it would/may look different at times than that indoor pic?????

Either would not change my overall vehicle pick.

Love the LED, and how the light makes a 'B'.
But, I'm trying to ignore the huge gap on the body panel above the taillight.

Oddly enough, i actually like the standard taillights. Replacement cost will also be much lower if they get damaged for some reason. I can understand the appeal of the led ones though. Thanks for the comparison!

I love what Ford has been doing with their LED tail lights recently, they look fantastic! It’s the first thing I’m going to change on my BD. I’m not dead set on swapping in the signature headlamps but I have to have those tail lights

Would be nice to know the LED vs. Halogen difference in price to replace given how common it is to smash tailights on the trail... and headlights on gravel roads.

(current trail rig count 2 headlights 1 tailight).

I like the black diamond one. Just my opinion looks more old school.

The clear casing on the LED unit will haze, looks like tuner replacement. The integral red tinted polymer will not haze nor take spider cracks easily.

Yeah, i think it's the clear casing throwing me off. I just don't like it as much as the tinted polymer.

You can also split the difference and just install LED replacement bulbs in the standard housing . I put these in my trailer lights this week and they made a huge difference in visibility .

I like the standard ones too. Oh well, you can't have it all.

I do like both but something about the standard appeals to me more (both HL and TL). I think it is the old school look that I have become familiar with. I also agree on the clear case for the LED. Cool comparison, thanks for sharing David!

Next up, could we get a HL comparison with them on? I think that would be cool. :)

I wonder how these will look smoked. I vinyl wrapped all of my exterior lights/reflectors on my Mustang and they looked great.

I like the LED ones better and the black accents inside the lighting area. Happy with my choice, but neither are bad looking.
