I’m considering getting seat covers for my Badlands. Do the MGV’s get hot in the sun? How has clean up been with them. And how durable from scratches and general wear and tear are they? My concern is mostly when I go wheeling. I like to play in the mud, lol. But I also want to protect my investment on a daily usage. I’ve been looking at Cover Kings Rhinohide In chestnut brown (also a way to get brown seats with my green exterior). If anyone has other recommendations or insight please feel free to share. It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Only had my Bronco with MGV since 9/27/21 and it has seen limited use but the material seems to be quite durable and is holding up well so far. I did spill some coffee this morning & it cleaned up quickly & easily. The few times I had the top off, the seats didn’t get any hotter than a typical convertible would and they are supple and soft - and nicer than my boat’s vinyl seats.

Eruption green with brown seats would be awesome - very retro! If you want brown, aftermarket is the way to go. As an altermative to the CoverKing products, check out Katzkins - they make nice stuff

Any idea of your anticipated delivery timing for your ‘22 Bronco?

The MGV in mine has stood up well over the last few months. Hasn’t been hot enough to see how toasty they get, but I’m definitely expecting them to be very hot in the summertime; during which, I’ll have seat covers. The common misperception is that leather heats up more than cloth/vinyl and that’s the farthest from the truth. Black leather, sure… but tan/grey leather will absolutely stay cooler to the touch than vinyl, due to the porous nature of genuine leather.
MGV stands up well to my two idiot 80lb shepherds, and cleans up very nicely. I’d rather start out with MGV and reupholster them with custom leather later down the road, than start out with leather or cloth and wish I had the MGV. Just my two cents.

Mine are quite comfortable and easily cleaned up after my dogs as well. I have the seat heaters and dont think the sun will get them any hotter than that.

Supposed to be built the last week of January. Guessing deliver would be the end of February, beginning of March. Well that’s with no delays, which I highly doubt. Thank you for the information.

I was wondering about canine durability testing with my energetic (spring loaded) lab mix. Am considering getting a cover for the back seats, you think a cover is going to benefit at all? Thanks for the info.

Sorry for the oddly placed photo, friends. New to actually posting on forums. I swear I'm learning.

My ass sweats the same on my MGV than it does on the 4runner Softex or on my other ford's leather seats.

I've had my Bronco BL since early Nov and much prefer the MGV to leather. I also have a 2020 Explorer Platinum with leather seats and they quickly began showing creases in the leather seats. The MGV seats in the Bronco look as good today as they did upon delivery despite my navigator (Jack Russell) going crazy on them every time he goes for a ride. Not one scratch or sign of wear so far.
You can't reason someone out of a position that they didn't reason themselves into.

Over the summer, I went to a dealer presentation where they had Broncos with the roof off in the hot sun all afternoon. My wife, wearing shorts, stepped into the backseat and burned her arse. I've had my Bronco since October and love the MGV. I dont think that, with the roof on, the seats would get too hot.

I’ve never been too impressed with ford’s leather options. Always felt so cheap to me. The new GMC Denali leather though… that’s in a whole new dimension.

Never apologize for dog pics!! Mine kick my husband and I out of our own bed. Just like the Bronco, they take over the front seats when I’m out of the truck and I have to negotiate with them to go back to the rear.
I am getting a seat delete done in the back so it soon won’t apply. But I really don’t think covers are necessary. Because everything’s so easy to clean, covers just add more nooks and crannies that will retain dog hair. But if it’s super hot out and I don’t want my dogs to burn their paws on the seats or platform, then yes I will put up a throw blanket or beach towel for them.

Keep an eye out for PRP seat covers. They make MGV seat covers for Jeeps and other makes. Yeah might be weird putting MGV seat covers on MGV seats. LOL

They have a ton of customizing options. I'm sure they will do them for the Bronco.

Cover Craft makes a Carhartt seat covers for the Bronco. I have a set on my 2014 jeep for 8 years and no issues. Pulled them off and washed a couple times. I got small dogs now but had some older Golden Retrievers when I got the jeep and covers. Only ever drove it home before putting the covers on.

They make covers for many different vehicles and have a Varity of colors for the other vehicles. Only seen tan so far but they should have other colors for the Bronco soon.

For that matter by summer several companies that sell seat covers should have them for the Broncos. I prefer the hard canvas others would rather have something else.

Just a quick note when going mudding. I watched a YT vid of this guy destroying his front axel going through a puddle. He went in too fast and came to a sudden stop. Now has to wait to get one from the factory(which doesn't have one to send out). Until more parts are available, im going easy on what I have. Be safe.

I lived in Richmond for 9 years. I recognized the James River and Hollywood Cemetery right away in your pic. Cool pup, by the way. Yeah, we can't discount the impact our pets may have on our interiors. Part of the real world. Thanks for posting!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

I've been here since 99, not counting college. Love it and the pup and I enjoy all of the great things it has to offer. The bronco will be right at home with MTB, kayak, and all the other outdoors. Since my order, I've been excited to meet and talk bronco with anyone. I'll be looking for the meet ups when mine arrives, for sure! Stay in touch!

I took delivery of mine mid-October (4-DR Black Diamond, soft top -no regrets! - manual) and immediately took it on a road trip to Sedona and Moab (off-rodeo) and they were comfy. Dirt wipes off really easy, they don't seem to hold the cold or heat (depending on weather) very long. I'll be curious to see how they do in the summer here in San Diego...
