How many miles did your new Bronco have when you took delivery

I am in the process of picking up my 2022 Bronco. Went to the dealership and learned that the bronco already had 145 miles on it. The dealership could not exactly explain how the mileage was on it. They mentioned that due to the V6, Ford apparently drove the 2022 V6 engine models to ensure there were no issues with the engine given the blown engine issues. I have no way to confirm whether this is accurate and would like to know if anyone else had a similar experience.

We also know the build date was in January 2022 and looks like the bronco sat out in the elements. Upon our inspection of the bronco we found dirt/dust/bugs in the engine compartment, rear lift gate, mud on the floor mats, etc. There was damage to the hood with scratches on the hood and graphic which the dealership said they would fix. As we have waited for this vehicle for 18 months, I wanted to see if others had experiences similar with the mileage and the dirt/damage?

We have a Toyota (Tundras) plant here and My brother was talking to a guy that works there and he said they do not install parts out side they only install the parts on the assembly line. So they will complete a truck as much as they can/ have parts for then park it, when the parts come in they bring it back to the line and install the parts. They have had trucks on and off the line multiple times. It is all types of supply chain issues like they will get the windshield trim but no windshield this is usually an assembly but they have to piece it together. I am assuming Ford has the same issues and I wonder if they have to drive these back and forth to dirt/ice mountain each time.

I had just under 40 miles when I left the dealer that day, figured quality testing. Billy was delivered via truck carrier in a snow storm, road salt was the color when delivered. If anyone drove it at the dealer it was only one half day. I did not give them the time to do anything but ready for delivery. Basically it arrived on a Sunday, I drove it away Monday afternoon. Yes, I rushed my sales person to, "GET'R DUN."

What's next?

I would recommend taking pictures for documentation. Get any dealership promises in writing and make sure the milage is in the sales paperwork so your warranty starts from when you get it. Mine only had 17 including the 16 I test drove it for. I can't even imagine waiting forever to get a new vehicle to have it show up in used condition.

Mine had about 50. I know my salesman drove it to get gas, but mine never sat on ice mountain so I can't account for the miles. Mine was a quick delivery too. Build week of Jan 24, and took possession February 24. I watched them take it off the truck but never checked the miles until I picked it up. If it would have had more I would've been looking for answers too.

145 miles is definitely up there. If the vehicle was selected for a test drive it would of had a paper slip stuck to the vehicle that mention the test drive and the odometer reading at the end of the test drive. That slip could have been removed at some point either by the transit company or by the dealer during their pre-delivery inspection. Hard to say though.

I know the vehicles that get shipped via convoy to my dealer have less than 20 miles on it. Order that get shipped via rail have ~45 - 60 miles. I assume the extra miles is loading/unloading from the rail car and driving around the rail yard. I know they recieved a few F-150s that had just over 100 miles on them, but I hadn’t heard of a Bronco with that many miles.

Personally I wouldn’t make a huge deal about 100-150 miles. If it was 200+ miles… then yeah, I’d be concerned as that goes beyond the amount of fuel that was placed in the vehicle during the manufacturing process. Someone had to specifically add more fuel to the vehicle to continue to drive that thing. (I don’t know about the Bronco specifically, but for past vehicles I’ve bought Ford usually puts in 1/4-1/2 tank of fuel in the vehicle to get through the shipping process.)

mine had 200 miles on it. Honestly I wasn't really upset by it cause after over a year n half of waiting I was like whatever I have it finally lol. definitely wasn't from the dealership since I was there when the truck rolled off the semi. From what I kind of gathered is that every so often factory takes a truck out of the line to do a bunch of test to make sure everything is going good on the line. Can anyone else let me know if that's a fact or not?
