My 2024 Bronco didn't come with a receiver hitch, but it does have a pigtail in the area where the hitch would be. Any idea what this pigtail is for? Hopefully for the trailer lights. If so, how does it transition from this pigtail to one for the trailer?

IIRC the MY24 comes pre wired for trailer. There is a plate or something that you have to remove to get to it. But I am not sure if you have to add the 4/7 pin or if it comes with.

MY24s are wired for hitch/lights. You can get the finishing parts cheap at Ford Parts on the interwebs.

MY24s are wired for hitch/lights. You can get the finishing parts cheap at Ford Parts on the interwebs.

You may be able to get the parts but I remember that someone said you will still have to have Ford program your vehicle to activate system. They may require dealer to do the installation? Most dealers won’t install your parts.
