Just saw a article that Ford is shutting down production again for a month
2021 OBX 2 door High Package Cyber orange, second day reservation, ordered Jan 20, 2021, blend date of 18 Dec 2021, delivery date of Jan 12th and loving it.

Haha, unless something just changed today, it's for two weeks in the month of July and was announced weeks ago.

Your own post, double-posted, doesn't say for a month. "for varying periods of time into early August due to the problem...Production of the Ford Ranger pickup and new Ford Bronco SUV also will be down for two weeks next month."

From Autoblog, more than two weeks according to this and bother reports

The supply crunch would cost it $2.5 billion this year and halve vehicle production in the second quarter, the Dearborn, Michigan-based company had said in April.

"While we continue to manufacture new vehicles, we're prioritizing completing our customers' vehicles that were assembled without certain parts due to the industry-wide semiconductor shortage," Ford said in a statement.


The No. 2 U.S. automaker said its Chicago assembly plant, which makes Explorer sport utility vehicles (SUVs), will be shut from the week of July 5 to the week of July 26. The plant will run two shifts during the Aug. 2 week.
That is an entirely different plant. That one is for Explorers and is in the Chicago area.

Got tired of seeing all sorts of conflicting posts.
I just read 5 different articles with 5 variations.
Several articles said Week of July 5 “AND” week of July 26. “Not July 5 thru July 30th”
Other Ford plants gave consecutive weeks of shutdowns.
Start googling folks. We get enough depressing news as it is. Let’s try our best to be accurate as possible for everyone’s sanity.

I know that there were numerous prior posts that Ford has been taking the chips earmarked for other models and put them towards the Bronco. These reports have said that pretty much all the other models are effected and NOT Bronco. Let’s hope it stays this way.

Not really, No one will answer my questions, the dealer is a complete mess, the much ballyhooed turbo motor is a slug.
