SEMA is a place for innovation and industry acceleration. Ford has announced the six project vehicles they are bringing to the show, and with the announcement came the news of more new Bronco accessories, many available in 2022. These new accessories help boost off-road performance and customization.

Bronco Front Drive Unit – Up to 5.38:1 Gearset
Of the many new Bronco parts unveiled at SEMA, front and center is a new Ford Performance Parts front drive unit that supports up to a 5.38:1 gearset – a significant off-road performance upgrade in the first year of Bronco production.

Severe-Duty Steering System and Performance Tuning
Ford Performance Parts also developed several new Bronco chassis components for the Bronco two- and four-door SUVs, including new severe-duty steering rack and tie rod ends to further improve steering system durability under high loads. The team also created performance tuning for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that can be uploaded via a Pro-Cal 4 scan tool to the OBDII port.

Bronco Aftermarket Wheels
Ford Performance Parts is also unveiling new aftermarket wheels available at Ford dealers with the 17-inch Method Race Wheel sets for Bronco. The Bronco-specific 17 x 8.5-inch Method 703 Bead Grip wheels are made from solid T6 heat-treated A356 aluminum with patented Bead Grip technology for increased tire bead security when running at lower pressures off-road.

Maybe it is just me, but not all that impressed with the SEMA Broncos. The Fire Truck one is kind of cool, the rest look like they belong on the set of Fast and Furious 29, the boys go to Baja.

Those gear sets aren't "new" though, just maybe as an option (if they really allow you to order it that way). Dana 44 gear sets have always been available up to 5.38, everyone just knows they tend to get weak(er) as that number gets higher.

The V-8 going in my Bronco won't need steep gears, but the 3.3 might benefit from more gear.
