I looked and didn't see other posts with the information. I ordered a BD 2 Door with Mid Pack. Would anyone know the stereo speaker size and location on the 2 door Bronco? I'm planning on upgrading using JL Audio Marine speakers and was hoping to order in advance. Thank you.

My guess from pictures and walk around videos is that the 6 speakers are
2 in the dash
2 facing forward in pods across the back roll bar
2 facing rearwards in the same pods across the back roll bar.

As far as their size I don’t know but Ford does like 5x7’s...that’s yet to be seen though.

I was watching a video and thought I heard 2 were down by the driver and passenger feet but unconfirmed.

No due to the washout interior, unless that's a recent change

Itd defintly give better sound quality but would need to be marine grade with the washout interior then. Doubt they upgrade to that

I've debated marine grade speakers in some kick panels but time will tell how good/bad the soundstage is with stock location and speaker upgrade. I'm interested to see what the aftermarket will offer in regards to the rear pods. From what I can tell it seems like you could swap the whole pod out without too much work.

The matter is laid to rest. I’m glad they incorporated kick panels in the front on the base speaker package. Great image showing locations of speakers in the article.

I'm not an audio expert--Do you know if the speakers I've got in my Jeep will fit in the Bronco 10-speaker B&O setup? I have four really nice Focal 6.5". Would love to keep them.

Umm what are you thinking, you don’t replace good speakers with other good speakers, you ADD good speakers to good speakers, I’m seeing 4 new speakers across the bar in the back…(y)

I actually did that in my 96 Bronco II, totaled up to 12 speakers (4 subs!)

Nah, going to keep the existing system layout intact. 10 speakers are plenty for me. Do you know if they'll fit?

Edit: Doing the mm to inches math, it looks like only two of my 6.5" speakers will fit (the middle set in the Bronco). The speakers are so good, I was hoping to use all four, but this is better than nothing.

No idea if they’ll actually fit. But they didn’t stop me from making my own bracket and stuff to force 12” subs into the walls of the trunk of my Bronco II, which had no place for them. I also lifted the flooring and put a false bottom with 2 16” subs later on and an amp… so if your willing to cut/crop/hack and risk breaking, the world (I mean Bronco) is your oyster :LOL:

If you wanted to go aftermarket (to any package other than luck), does anyone happen to know if the dash center and sub enclosure spots are left open? Hoping they don’t completely close those off for those of us that don’t need all the bells and whistles but just want to upgrade sound equipment

The dash space is a tray, or just dash with some shallow walls built up to contain whatever you put up there. I don't think it would be worth it to cut a hole into that tray for the center speaker placement. Given the speaker locations, if you run an amp with reasonable power to your speakers and fine tune time delay, etc. you can probably get pretty good soundstage and not miss the center channel from the B&O system.

The space will be available for the sub but the kicker will be the side panel won't have the "speaker grill" like holes in it to allow you to put the subwoofer back there without modifying the side panel. Generally those rear subs aren't in their own enclosure anyways so building your own or having one done will most certainly offer an improvement in sound quality. I'm not completely against cutting into the rear side panel for a sub if I thought it necessary for the sound.

Right now I'll likely replace all the speakers and add an amp and dsp then decide if I need more bass.

I don't know what the after-market will bring as far as form fitted subs.
